Most Norwegians use an app on their phone to pay for public transport, thats why it doesn’t seem like anyone is paying.
Una Elden yep, the ruter app.
@@grixern5092you mean atb mobilett
Enigma I mean, ruter is probably more popular in Norway as it has 5x the reviews, and idk about the other app but ruter is strictly used in Norway. I have never heard of «atb mobilett,» I just searched it up if you’re wondering where I got the info thats how
@@grixern5092 I'm pretty sure ruter is only for Oslo og omegn. they don't use in for example stavanger or the north of Norway

I live in norway and we use an app to buy the tickets for transport
I've lived in Oslo for 5 months and the level of civilization (including public transport and infrastructure) and respect for nature its mind-blowing. Kudos to Norway!!
Jeg er norsk!
Legend says Patrick is still searching for customers
lol
"If I'd live here, I'd never pay for the bus". 14:07 Dear Simon, do you know why in Norway there are no ticket controls on public transportation? Because, unlike you, people understand that the public services can work only if everyone pays the ticket to use them.
Oh
Yumxko no need to have that bitter tone. How was he supposed to know, its his first time being there so he doesn’t know the rules and whatnot. Not every country follows the same moral principles. Relax.

About the public transport being "so easy".... Those of us who live here, live in fear of the "control people" who don't always wear uniform, and they will stop you if you see them and try to sneak off - the penalty for not having a ticket is over 90 pounds. So.... we'd rather pay the 70 pounds a month for our travel card (which most people have on their travel card app on their phone - that's why you didn't see other people scanning a typical travel card).
I have mixed feeling about this video. I don't like the dishonesty, but I can appreciate the challenge.
70 a month?!
@@TronciM yes... why?
@@123PTRR123 that is so much
@@TronciM I think that for the capital city of Norway, 70 pounds is quite decent. Considering bigger places like London charge you 100 or more per month. Also, you have to remember that in Norway, the wages are in general higher, so the cost of living matches that. But yes, Norway is one of the most expensive countries in the world.
@@123PTRR123 we don't pay that much per month for public transport
My husband is Norwegian, and he just laughed when I showed him this vid. The cashier at Narvesen must ask for your passport or any ID to verify your birth date.

But that is seriously cool, I gotta try that, of course on my real bday. 😂😂😂
In norway, you’re supposed to use an app to pay for the public transport. You don’t need to scan at the scanner, that’s just for physical tickets

On norwegian trams/trains and busses, there are random controls where big spooky security people come and check tickets. This only happens sometimes but if you do it on a daily basis, you will eventually have to pay a fine of around 150$
Would not recomment sneaking on a tram.
The fine is over 700 NOK, no leeway.

There are people that checks your tickets regularly, if you get caught you get a 100 dollar fine. Where I live, (a little bit outside Oslo, in Sandvika) they check before you go on the bus
In Norway we buy bus tickets in an app or in Narvesen. Usually there is no one checking if you have a ticket but sometimes there’s control.
