Convince me those early drafts were legit (no save-scumming/looking ahead and re-drafting) and I’ll believe this was a realistic rebuild. The game doesn’t allow you enough scouting opportunities for those drafts to be real. Either way, a fun video to watch for someone who’s doing a Rockies franchise
Thanks for the kind words about the video. As for the save scum allegations... There were definitely drafts I would have done differently: I would have taken Andy Parks in the 1st round of season 2 instead of the 80s potential pitcher, for instance. Save scumming would likely lead to me reaching on fully unscouted guys with a 40+ difference potential range projected 5 rounds later without any explanation. I cannot convince you of anything, but I will offer some potentially helpful scouting advice because I do believe the game offers more than enough scouting opportunities IF you utilize the right resources. Fiend Franchise has developed a very in-depth scouting tutorial to get the most info on the most guys possible just like I did here. Scout each pitcher region for 3 weeks, while using another scout to discover pitchers in that region during the same time period. Then with your last scout, swap position players each week, focusing on guys with realistic wider ranges but high potential upside. You don't even have to scout players who already have a tighter potential range of 80-99 since those ranges don't really get much tighter. Discovery is key since many of those players (especially pitchers) last later into the draft so you can prioritize position players early on and grab a couple good pitchers to close things out. There's no 100% proven way to do this, but there's certainly patterns that you pick up after enough time and can make pretty damn good educated guesses

I think Snelling’s in game value is a lot lower than in real life, and in my mind, he was the most expendable option

Are there any specific sliders that you use?
As of now, I usually add a slight buff to CPU hitting stats, but nothing major. It will surely adjust as I continue to gain playing experience

Usually that would be the case, but he was called up in year 2 and was a Cy Young Finalist like 3 or 4 times. I think its fair to say it worked out
