Rodeo Time 346
Dale gets a DQ Blizzard and Buckethead gets tied up to a portable grill in the parking lot. Something seems off...🙃
Back on the rez, growing up we rode everywhere bareback. I didn't ride a saddle until I was tall enough to ride my dad's saddle when I was about 13-14.
Great job 👍
Next to Boone, Buckethead is my favorite of Dale's horses. Love a buckskin and those 4 black stockings. Beautiful!
6:31 Dying when you broke out the Oliver Anthony! 🤣🤣🤣 ❤
DB is definitely tougher than me. Bareback I couldn't make it 10 miles. I don't know how far the old Comanche bands could move at a trot, but I do know the United States cavalry regiments were expected to move 40 miles per day at a trot. They could do it too. COL McKenzie, "Bad Hand," surprised the Comanche in Palo Duro in 1874 and put 'em all afoot with his surprise march from Jacksboro, TX. Great video, man! Quality stuff, brother!
the Cavalry regiments had saddles and could rise and sit? Or also just sit?
@ThrashingBuddha yes, they could post as they moved out. They'd also stop about every 8 to 10 miles, dismount, and walk a while in order to prolong the endurance of their mounts. The amazing thing is they could do it day after day.
Horses are freaking bad a$$es man.
That could’ve been a Preparation H commercial Ol’Son!! And your elbows are flopping around a lot… and he got a free blizzard🎉😂 that was hilarious when you took Buckethead to town😂😂❤
More like Ben gay commercial😂
Haha...probably wasn't any more comfortable for buckethead. He's trying to figure out how to get your bony butt out of his back😂😂
Awesome. bucket Head in heck of good shape you forgot to plug the Total feed LMAO..
That was awesome giving the Bull a pep talk and going to the DQ were you and buster roped the cow ..
First ol son 🌵
I'm a Buckethead fan, seems like a good horse!
The only thing I find interesting on RUclips. Thanks for the riding tips at the end.

As an NDN I can say that this is a tough endeavor and much respect.
That was really interesting and fun to watch. So much better than a lot of horsevideos.
I learned to ride bareback, on ponies, we had baler twine to use as a sort of bridle and got thrown off a lot. Gives you a better seat. Now, I'd make it about 20 feet and on dismounting, my legs would buckle under me I'm pretty sure. Twice I've ridden gaited horses bareback, one was a burly Nova Scotia Pacer, he *paced*, so you'd rock back and forth, and no matter how hard I drummed my bare heels on his sides, he would not break his gait. Another was a retired Standardbred racer who only trotted, and again, I could not make him break gait.
Indigenous riders, Indians, at Calgary Stampede this year were impressive. They have bareback relay races, and the way they mount is startling - they grab onto the mane, the horse is trained to rear and swings them right up onto its back. Fastest way to get started.
Look at the bareback riders of ancient Greece on the Parthenon sculptures that the Brits swiped from Greece. I started reading Xenophon on horse training, written 350BC and still relevant. Saddles were unknown, and they not only rode bareback in battle, they also had to throw lances and fire bows/arrows at the same time. Similar to North American Indians.
I've road a horse through a drive-through a lot and never had to pay. It's so much fun. And the looks from the lady's are nice too 😉😉
English rider here, I love bareback and with lots of practice have been able to post bareback! can't do it for very long though!
Buckethead deserves a treat too
I rode all weekend Fri-Sun bareback on Hammy Boyd's trail ride. Although, I was 12 and we camped every night. Don't remember how long it was, but ice baths weren't heard of then ..lol Great job Dale!
If you don’t ride bareback after leg day, you ain’t no cowboy ol son. Powpow
I feel an icepack coming on 😂😂😂😂😂😂
That’s a good looking pony!
I grew up riding bareback. I learned to swing up on a horse just like you did. I used to start out in the morning riding, bareback and ride all day bareback. It’s been far too many years now and I couldn’t do it anymore. I ride now with a saddle, but riding bareback was definitely fun when I was a child and a teenager.
I enjoyed the video. Good job! Good Horse. Thank you for the fun video.
This was the epitome of entertaining! I almost spit out my drink when he said butthole! LMAO!
wow
I'm just gonna keep asking until Dale tells me no he won't or it actually happens.
Dale will you drop a shirt that reads "Atta Boy Donnie" it'd be hilarious. If you drop it I promise to buy it as soon as it drops as well as Woah Boone if you still have it in my size.
Woah Boone, YANC, and Atta Boy Donnie are probably my favorite Dale Quotes.
Awesome 😎 also, I thought I was the only one to wear my watch that way. Prevents scratches and direct sunlight!
This is the best thing I have seen on iTunes nobody has to question it you are a cowboy . Best cowboy you make me proud
Beautiful horse👌
I'm a native American Indian been riding bareback since I was lil from Gallup NM..
When he started singing Oliver Anthony 🤣🤣
This made me happy. Thanks for sharing the adventure!
Ol Son!!! You must be part Indian...lol great Job I love Bucket head.. Maybe I need to try that on pepper jack my mustang..
Yes another video !! 👍🏽 😎 i enjoy watching all your videos Mr. Dale..😂 always make me laugh when i need it ❤ God bless you..🙏🏽💖
Oh your making me hurt just watching you ride Dale..
😂 yes Sir i am a native cherokee lady and, yes i like to ride
bare back no saddle but, def" gotta have leg muscels and, not chicken legs..😂 🤠 not saying you do Dale 😂 🐓🐓🐤
You have my respect Ol son, 20 miles is enough with a saddle, not sure I could do it bare back!
LoL Dale!! 😂 Nothing but respect. New requirement for Super Puncher, 21 mi bareback.
The saddle isn’t only for YOUR comfort. It spreads your weight over more of his back!
Great video ol’son, well done to you and buckethead.
10 miles would be a stretch for me! But a big Bucket Head fan over here! Great ride ol son!🤠
Its amazing how you can continue to come up funny stuff to say. 😂
Fantastic video brother! .I do enjoy bareback on horses in the round corrals for a little while but SURE COULDN'T go very long like you did ! ..Super Puncher !!!
It looks like he has a fairly smooth trot.
That is one In shape horse 👏👏
Buckethead for President 2024.
That was impressive ol son even with that ass pad lol yeehaw
I rode a horse named buckethead once… I thought he was the only one 😂
I wanna see you barrel race, run, and jump bareback.
I loved free riding back when i had my horses
I long trot miles every day IN A SADDLE. Bareback I don't know that I would attempt more than a few laps around the arena, and then my legs would be jello.
Haha as always Dale delivers epic content
So when you hydrated at your stations, what did Buckethead get. True cowboys take care of their horse before themselves.
I used to ride always bareback I’m 60 now I have to ride with saddle 😅
THE BEST BOSS EVER can ride all day and all night bare back or saddle
I would've trotted right with ya! DQ rocked that butterfinger sundae, yum.😂
You need to get a Missouri fox trotter... I like all breeds butt that would have been better for it.
Yes or an American saddlebreed
Dale ya !! Ol’son your the real deal cowboy 😎😂 you the man Dale 🤟🏻
I would love to meet Buckethead! This 'ol gal would love to ride that beautiful boy as well. Just need a gate to get on him. 😂😂
Love ole Buckethead
Your dale brisby you cant quit 🤠
Need a JB manuey tribute video
Most I did bareback was 31 miles In 7 hours And I stopped twice I was riding On my 7 year old American saddlebreed mare
You did the lift run shoot. Now you need to get cam Hanes to come do a “trot, buck out, and pod”
Why did I learn more from this then when i actually look for it 😭
bucket head be worth a pretty penny after this footage 😂
I rode five miles one way to school bareback it only made me better when I got a saddle
I fricken love dale brisbys videos soooooooooo much!
Thank you so much for telling folks not to litter there beer bottles an cans maybe they will listen to you
Primary color gotta be William Clark Green 😂
Good job handsome. Knew ya had it in ya.
Gonna have to spurbrisby a snow cone 😂
He needed a Paso Fino.
Thanks that really sounds like your dancing. Thanks really appreciate how that said. I did wonder about that. Thanks
You can totally post bareback. You might feel like death the next day if you did it for more than a mile, but you CAN do it lol
Love you Dale!!
I did ride 6 miles round trip to the dollar general store once bareback, on a Father’s Day, but my horse didn’t trot the the whole time.
Number #1 Cowpuncher , Champ
Best cowboy around ol son 🏜️
Butterfinger blizzards are the best. Think I’ll get one today too.
Pay for your own fudge rounds 😂🙏🏼🤠
The best part of this video: the remix of Oliver Anthony’s, Richmond, north of Richmond.
I keep saying that most working cowboys would knock NATRC/Endurance out of the park
I would love to see Dale try a NATRC ride.
Indians have red dots on there 4head we natives ol son
I usualy go riding bareback. I have gon hunting aswell, I recon that 20 mile is not a lot.
Trotting tends not to be a good idea.
Well I rode a horse 35 bareback when I was a kid it about 16 years old
You were taking breaks to give your horse water right?
You should see how far you can go bareback on a horse while loping
Idk if it's his sweat or mine... SO RELATABLE!!! Hahaha.
Daggum it it's hard to not use my perfectly good saddle. I'd have to wake up in the mood to try this farther than our half mile driveway. 😮
Ol Dale ❤❤❤❤❤😂😂
DB da man! God bless from smky mtns of NC
Btw, posting bareback is absolutely possible.
What about hydrating your mount
No shit Linda.
@@DaleBrisbyBullRider just messing with you. I know you have to cool the horse down so it doesn't founder. 🤭
Your mom said I can make it a marathon bareback Ol son!
I did little over 20 miles bareback in my teens Thought I was gonna die when the water when the shower hit the busted blisters between my cheeks My momma came to the rescue with cornstarch to power my bum for about four days before the blisters healed
I rode my buckskin also
Sure hope that pad prevented blisters on you
Yu tha best!
Awesome! Great job man!
You need to come ride with us 802 cowgirls!
I miss putting miles on my horses bareback.
No better way to learn how to ride is to start out bare back. I learned riding ponies barebacked. Boy are they rough trotters
Find you a barrel racer. They can ride trot forever 😂
The real challenge is how far can you post the trot bareback?
Dale yeah
God I wish I could do that with my riding participation, but hes so sensitive, if i would accidentally get my legs to his sides too much he would start running off immediately. Sometimes I wish for a more chill horse who I can do stuff like that too lol
Because I really want to ride more bareback
