Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) keeps laying down the punishment on the would-be bandits.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Home Alone is the highly successful and beloved family comedy about a young boy named Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) who is accidentally left behind when his family takes off for a vacation in France over the holiday season. Once he realizes they've left him "home alone," he learns to fend for himself and, eventually has to protect his house against two bumbling burglars (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) who are planning to rob every house in Kevin's suburban Chicago neighborhood. Though the film's slapstick ending may be somewhat violent, Culkin's charming presence helped the film become one of the most successful ever at the time of its release.

My God Daniel Stern does NOT get enough credit for his screams in this movie. Between the nail, the ornaments, and the spider, his screams were absolutely spot-on. They all had a different tonal quality too.

thestone30080 Yes, I couldn't have said that better. Home Alone 3 and 4 were so god-awful that they didn't feel like Home Alone. If they make a Home Alone 6, I hope Daniel Stern, Joe Pesci, and the rest of the classic Home Alone characters are in it, and I hope they have the McCallister house too. Home Alone 1 and 2 were awesome, funny, and 2 classics of a Home Alone movie. 3 and 4, on the other hand was boring, stupid, and didn't feel like Home Alone. The first 2 Home Alone movies were awesome, even for a 9 year old like me. The last 2 were stupid, even for a 9 year old like me. Home Alone had so many cool parts, like when Polka King helped Kate back to Kevin, or when Kevin found out Old Man Marley was good, or when Kevin set the traps, and when Kevin shot Harry and Marv with the BB gun, or when Kevin placed Buzz's tarantula on Marv's face, and he shrieked like a girl, and when Harry and Marv fell for the traps. Home Alone went downhill more quickly than the internet went downhill. Now Home Alone movies are boring pieces of junk. I don't know what happened to the Home Alone movies, but what I do know is that now they are pieces of crud going downhill. Once my daddy was watching Home Alone 3, and I didn't even know it was even Home Alone.

I was in my early 20's in the winter of 89 when crews were filming scenes at the house in Winnetka. My friend lived a block away and we went and watched them film outdoor scenes for about a week.
I don't think any of the big stars were there but I remember them filming the plumbing van and night scenes of the house lit up.
It was really cool to see all of the production lighting and vehicles
