    Big fan of your content and products. Its clear you put a lot of thought into your gear. I have a JPC too but I use the Crye AVS front flap with bungie retention. I like that it collapses down flat when its empty. Its also compatible BFG TSP pouches. Like you said, extra mags are not always necessary and being able to collapse the placard and reduce bulk when you're not utilizing the space is a nice feature. The only downside is dealing with the bungie retention when trying to speed reload and re-insert, but I don't find that entire realistic especially when I have a fast mag on my belt.

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  10 месяцев назад

      Yeah def agree. Being able to put a magazine back quickly is less of a priority, due to a few things. Be safe.

    I am currently running an MKV with the CCS pouch on the front. After some time it got way too bulky for me.. You gave me some good ideas to get rid of the ccs pouch and throw a 5.56 with a double pistol ten speed pouch on the front ( for multitool and maybe a knife or a flashlight). Plus I am going to grab a Micro Fight Hi-Top Half Zipper Insert for my MKV as well!

    Good stuff. As a law abiding New York civilian, I "cannot own" (as far as I know) body armor. I've recently been doing research on setting up a chest rig and am going back and forth between setting up a plate carrier (without plates for now) or getting a chest rig and setting that up. I currently do not own either. My rifle has "features" and a fixed magazine, I just train with the MeanArms speed loaders, So those would go where you would normally carry rifle mags. It's hard to tell from a distance, but beautiful submariner.

      I think there are some work around. Look at NRA instructors, being able to have it, as well as firefighters, may apply to volunteer also.

    • @robertmorano2372
      @robertmorano2372 Год назад

      @@SoileaterYT I need to do some more research, because I also know that FFL owners can have all kinds of things that us regular civilians cannot. I don't know if it has to do with the FFL or something else.

I'm new to LEO, only a year in, looking to join my departments SRT team in the future.. would you make a video about working out as LEO, some basic intro exercises and some that could also help with SRT try outs and staying physically fit? Thanks! I absolutely love your channel and the small community vibe! keep the videos up!

    Opinion on strobe for weapon lights?

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  10 месяцев назад +1

      I always disable any strobe features. I don’t want any of my lights to strobe. If I want it to flash on and off I’ll just squeeze the pressure switch as such. And that’s only for blue on blue or other signaling uses.

    Spark plugs on 550 cord? I’ve heard of using spark plugs to break windows, but what’s the 550 cord used for?

    • @SoileaterYT
      @SoileaterYT  Год назад +3

      It has a knot at each side, and has 3-4 of the ceramic from the spark plugs on it.

    • @RedSkeng
      @RedSkeng 22 дня назад

      You run the cord through a piece of spark plug and use it almost like a sling shot to break the glass and it is reusable you can also use the white stones you often find in cemetery’s lining the paths and graves, all I can say is my childhood was a bit on the wild side 😂 but I’m serving military now and a lot of my past mistakes have actually become useful in the field over the last 15 years and has actually saved lives at times so happy days I suppose
