Beta Footage - Crash Tag Team Racing

Radical Entertainment's first entry in the Crash Bandicoot Series, Crash Tag Team Racing is nothing like the previous or future games due to the simple reason that it provides two of the best genres in video games, racing and platforming. Just like how the game has a huge variety of unlockable content, there is also a lot of unused content, which starts from the usual fonts, animation, object placements, to entirely removed vehicles, outfits and elements. To be honest, I was surprised by a few of the changes that were made, especially the fact that Wumpa Fruit were once implemented in-game, but subsequently removed, thus making this game the first one in the Series where the most improtant and iconic component is not present in any way.

I think that Wumpa fruits and boxes changed because its Von Clutch's Motorworld. So that means this place is not about Wumpa islands and Crash Bandicoot things. Maybe this is the reason. 🤔

This is some next level in-depth research, dude. Like...right down to the die o rama and food stand placements! Props to you for doing so much research. Other well-known self acclaimed fans like Caddicarus could only dream of being this in-depth about a Crash game.

Ok i know I'm VERY late to the game here but i have a theory on the trash can, the early wumpa coins and the wumpa fruit being present and this is all just a hunch too but what if the wumpa fruit was meant to be eaten to regen your health after a race, clash-o-rama, and stunt arena, you know, fighting enemies in the parks, getting injured in the events, and fall damage if your car flips in the stunt arena, and with the trash can being there, maybe there is an animation of crash throwing out eaten wumpa fruites and the early coins implied that you could buy wumpa fruits at a vending machine(don't know if it was shown here), like i stated, i could be second guessing this but hopefully we will find out the real purpose for these one day
