I would damp the parchment paper and wrap the potatoe for the MW. I'm surprised the bag didn't explode with the pressure build up, unless she pierces some holes in the bag. Nice vlog, mummy ji is so cute❤❤
I wash the potatoes & put them in a bowl & then microwave ( if I don't boil potatoes). An Aloo Paratha hits the best! A great fun & humorous, filled with love - the best!
Wrap the potatoes in a thin damp cloth (damp with water) then warm in the microwave so that they soften, instead of using plastic bag
Or alternatively wash the potatoes then place them in a glass container and cover and warm in microwave
Lovely video❤❤ God bless….. you can put whole potato with skin into the microwave for about 6-8mins. It does get soft… than you can peel it. No need to to use any container or plastic. Please tell mummyji to try it. ❤❤❤

Hi plastic bag are not safe for cooking it’s so much safer and easier to boil the potatoes the paratha looks delicious take care everyone bye.
Last time you cooked palak paneer and i tried it at home and everybody loved it!!! I put malai at the end.

We also do chopped potatoes 🥔 in microwave safe bowl, and cover with cling wrap, it solves the purpose

Instead of putting it in plastic bag in microwave, just put the potatoes in microwave proof container and follow the heating directions. Then you won’t have to be stressed out about the plastic getting into the potatoes. Simple. The

Use microwave veg steamer with cover, you add little water, keeps potatoes moist not dry... cheap to buy. No plastic bag!

There is plastic cling wrap that you microwave. Also there are a brand of bowls Sistema with vent lids & you csn put a tsp if water to steam in microwave

The paratha was not turning because there wasn't enough dry flour on the side of the surface that Abbey and you were rolling it on. Mummy ji's side had a decent amount of dry flour on the surface.
I put corn on the cob in a plastic bag and put it in the microwave.

No no no never put plastic in microwave unless it a proper microwave zip bag and has a microwave safe label in it. Tell ur mum she must stop as it dangerous for health and fire regulations. Glad you’re reading the comments and taking on board peoples disklikes . There nothing better then Indian mum cooking they have years and years of experience. Never chop anything on your work top without chopping board one it damages the work top secondly it ruins the knives .

Abbey you are right.. plastic bags for cooking- just steam all potatoes with skin in them peel so nutrients are not lost.. not even boa free plastic
But that’s being honest
U don’t need anything to cover the potatoes u can put it in without a bag or anything. Just put it on a plate and extra water at the bottom of the plate for moisture

Cooking vlogs are nice but by now cook something more complicated not easy peasy things please haha, with meat, prawns etc. Try spicy biryani etc fairly simple to do.

You can use wet paper towel instead of plastic bag
Plastic is not safe especially if its not food grade cause chemicals from the plastic can leak into the potatoes or any food for that matter. Best is a microwave cook wear if you want to cook in a microwave. Though I personally wouldn't cook any food in a microwave cause of the radiation.
Don't microwave potatoes in plastic bags anybody plastic microparticles could enter inside potatoes

There is something called a steamer to use if you want to cook it in the microwave. Sich a bad way to cook in a plastic bag!
