let's not forget that Joey was in love with Dawson in the first season, and she was 15 yo lol ofc she was rude to a girl who tried to take Dawson away from her. but it's interesting that with times Joey's character progressed but Jen only regressed from season 2. like when Jen said that she doesn't have female friends because 'girls are the worst' or when she fell for a guy because he said that 'she's not like other dumb girls' like what was that?? but Joey was always ready to stand for her friends, especially girls, every time she could, and wasn't afraid to call out even her professor and Dawson for being sexists. i think that Joey was one of the best characters on TV, i definately would want to be her friend in real life

So just found out this show is looosely based on the life of Kevin Williamson (the guy who wrote the scream movies / the vampire diaries , etc) Now watching scream I see the connections , one of the characters worked at the video store and is obsessed with movies , while Dawson on the show kept making movies about a monster chasing ppl in a small town, which is all Kevin Williamson movies/tv show’s plot.
Jen has to be the most patient girl in the world, when it comes to Joey! I don't think that it would be unnatural though, that a pair of very different teenage girls like them would take a short while to get used to one another, before they began bonding. This video was a lot of fun, though. I chuckled throughout most of it.

I think her explaining the issue of her continuing to stay the night, was a veiled attempt at gauging his opinion on the idea of being attracted to each other. I think she wanted to see his reaction. If he _agreed_ with her, it might show that he could relate to her feelings... seeing as how that's how she felt about him. The fact that he acted puzzled, seemed disappointing to her.
Thats cool, its not for everyone! I loved it after thinking I would hate it. I was 18 when it came on. It was the #1 Teen drama in America during its run & aired in many other countries because of how popular it was. Similar to BH 90210 & Saved by the Bell. They actually got to go out on top when they all decided to move on after 6 ssns. Most shows lose steam & get cancelled but this one was still so popular when they all decided to move on to movies. I could find reasons to rip all the iconic teen shows apart but I just understand that they were what they were during their time. Their great business so they will never stop recycling them for new generations!
When I was 13, I was on a three-way call with my guy friend and my (relatively new) gal friend and she asked him about his **ahem** "alone time" and I was MORTIFIED! I was immediately all: "OH MY GOD, NO! I dont wanna hear this, I have to go." But he answered while I was saying that/before I hung up so, I heard everything. I had never experienced anything like that before. Little did I know, things would only get worse as I got older. 😳😳 Boys are the worst!🤦🏾♀️

Now I'm on a retro TV binge. OMGWTFBBQ, in my whole life, this is the trashiest, dumbest, most offensively awful 45 minutes of television I've seen in my life. Bar none. It's like if someone was trying to make a really bad parody *of an SNL skit,* that was trying to poke fun at predecessor teen dramas like 90210, this is what they would have dropped. It makes any random episode of an American afternoon soap opera seem like it was written by Ibsen or Chekhov. I made myself watch the second episode to see...could it actually get worse? Oh yes it does! It's absolutely shocking to me that this got made. I can see why Proctor and Gamble dropped out as a co-sponsor...good move. So many questions rushed to my mind - had the Columbine shooters been exposed to this? Did it trigger them? I could go on but better stop myself. 🤮 But I suppose if you were the fledging network CW in the late 1990s, you figured you better go big to compete with NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX. And the only way to do that was to court as much controversy as you could get away with. Mission accomplished!
