@@AlaskanBearsVlogs I miss the beauty of Alaska's summers and winters, though I do not miss the annual multiple feet of snow. Still though, it's always lovely to see people enjoying the state for what it is. And every time I hear someone tell me they've never been to Alaska, it floors me. I know I shouldn't take the state for granted, but it's like "how have you not?".

Fun trip. You two can do a lot in a couple days. We have a pretty nice mall here. Not as big as the one in Anchorage but it's got most of the traditional mall stores. Kids are not allowed to hangout at our mall anymore. They have to be with a parent or guardian. They are checking id on everyone. If they work at the mall they have a work id. They can only go to their place of employment. Can't go anywhere else. Can't be in the parking lot either. There is a police sub station right there. Teens were causing to much trouble. Good news we are getting a chicK fil a. Also a Dave's hot chicken. Our grocery stores still suck but we are adding fast food businesses. Nice to see you girls having such a good time. Minus the electronics. ❤❤❤

It was fun! I hope to have the zoo video up by Wednesday. We had gorillas at the Detroit Zoo, they are big!!! All the years I have rented cars, I have only found maybe car cords or a hairbrush, that by far was nasty!
Candy!! We have a great candy store here, there are 3 locations in Santa Fe I just went on Thursday and bought a couple of fruit gummies, one shaped like a hamburger, one like a hot dog lol They're called E-Frutti Have you ever tried them?

@@michelemurphy7342 We do live in Fairbanks, it's a 45 minute flight with a tail wind, but a 6 hour drive. Off season cars are cheap and the roads are bad, I would rather fly to Anchorage. We can spend more time there that way.
I start to wonder which is cheaper? Flying to Anchorage or driving there. I don't understand why Starbucks would leave unless it became too expensive for them to be there. Taxes are becoming an issue to people here. I can only imagine what it is there in Fairbanks and North Pole. Chocolate stores are always top of the list for me but back then the only 'game in town' was Sees Candy. More varity now. I don't recognize the Peanut Farm there. I've heard the name but is this a new place or building? The mall there in Fairbanks reminds me of the Malls that are here in the inland empire size wise. A number of fast food places have either closed or eliminated positions because of the new minimum wage law here. Gov. Newsome is in his own 'reality' and doesn't want to hear or see anything that is contradictory to this 'reality'. As I don't eat fast food or fried foods anymore I got my operation just in time! Anchorage still looks good!
We couldn't have driven there any cheaper than this trip. All points, miles and rewards. It would have costed me more than the car rental in fuel, plus the wear and tear on my car. I forget why Starbucks left the airport here, I think it had something to do with the lease. There is a lady here that sells the See's chocolates, she is only open a few times of year. The Peanut Farm was built in the 70's and renovated a few times since. Fast food gets a lot of business, I don't think many people eat at home anymore, the lines are always a mile long, it's never fast. I am sure they can afford to pay employees, it's the Mom and Pop shops that are suffering trying to pay or even find people. It's sad. Anchorage was fun. Next time we go we may go downtown.
The Russians want to have Alaska back, which is easy as in the North Korean War, where the Russian planes were far superior to the flying Western Spitfires, and this was repeated in Vietnam, Iraq and then badly in Afghanistan, where the U.S. were unable to prevail against unarmed Urdu civilians (mostly child soldiers at the Kyber Pass).

Yep, but everything fit in the carry on, why wear the backpack. We had to check it on the way back because of the fluids.
