I have a Directed 400 from like 2001 that has been bounced around in my off road truck, in a Honda that was totaled in a headon, my next Honda that was rolled by a girl who couldn't drive, my Acura cl for years, then an Acura integra, followed by a 300M that I rolled through a guardrail in a diabetic coma, and is now still going in my current 300M special. It always has been and still is screwed to my box. It's been played as loud as it will go at almost all times. It started blowing fuses about 10 years ago. I said screw it and put 30 amps in it. It no longer blows the fuses, but has slightly melted to fuse holder contacts. This poor amp as been through hell and back, but still keeps going. Why are newer amps so crappy and sensitive to everything? LOL Btw, I would LOVE to see you test the Rockville db25 as I just may replace the Directed with that one.
I don't know why but some of these amps only has 5 fuses and not 6. So I don't know why they changes it to 5. I'm wondering if the ones with 5 fuses are as good or are made cheaper.

Do you think you could get a hold of a Nesa TD-7500x and dyno it? I own one and would like to know if its numbers are true. Same build house as Precision Power.....
Cool vid, but please pause a little longer for the specs, I like to do my efficiency calcs with the numbers but they "evaporated" too soon lol. Same as a lot of other 1ohm amps, the efficiency gets worse at 2ohms, but gets better at 1ohm, even at 1.33ohm. Great design internally, lots of rail caps (not like the Braz amps), good board, and yeah goop those wiggly parts. Efficiency is around mid 60's percents, even close to 70 percent, but goes south at 2ohms to around 63 percent, no biggy. Great value if that's all you need. If you're running two of these and expect 4kwrms, Hahaha, you need multiple alts. Tahoe's and Chevy's should be able to pull that off no prob. ($500+ for over 4kwrms is a good price at this time)
What do you think 140 amp is good for? I keep finding different answers on different calculators. I believe it to be good for around 1960; but that would only be if the amp ran at 100% efficiency?
Loved the amp & was impressed. Ran at .5 ohm with gain between 1& 2 o'clock. But it smoked on me after 3 weeks & wasn't even hot to the touch. I think it had a bad solder to the board on one of the smaller coils right where the fan is. Would've loved to got it fixed

The CABs are out of stock new and refurb.any input would be appreciated...I was going to get and gain match another GM9701 but they soared upto $230, (I paid $130 6 months ago) and it's only 1200w and no subsonic, no way for that money.
I ohm uncertifide it would handle.1/2 ohm dynamic curious
I own a Lanzar Opti-Drive 8000d
damn brother I'm soooooo glad to see
Nice dyno should do one on a audio legion 1600.1 I'm curious on the numbers considering it's a 270 dollar xenon board
Efficiency is rough but at least it does what it claims
Hey I have a bamf 8000d I'm not using and I'd love to see you test that if you would like too that is please let me know.
Rockville has a new db series could we see a dyno on those? Maybe the db5?3500 rms for 349.
Would u think that a couple layers of dynomat would be enough to protect an amp that is mounted on a sturdy box?
Wow I'm impressed
Hi, can you make a test for a Lanzar Heritage htg558bt? Planning to buy this amp coz it's price wise all in 1 amp. Thanks
Can you amp dyno the cerwin vega amp 500.1 or the cerwin vega 250.2 i think that was the vega or stroker series the color on the amp is black and red thank you☺
I always wondered about these amps
You should try the 3501d opti drive
You should factor in dampening factor when you do a test. Whats the point of thousands of watts if its not controlled well...
Class d amps never have good damping factors. It's a trade-off for mo powa!
@@fabelgamer7410 that not true my 3000w class d has a damping factor of 300. Which is pretty high from what ive seen
@@chuckd9007 what brand is your amp? If it's damping factor is that high I'd consider buying one.
@@fabelgamer7410 sound stream.
@@chuckd9007 if it's a newer soundstream amp i have my doubts. Since their buyout they've not been super accurate with ratings. If it was 1996 soundstream I'd be more inclined to think it true.
I saw one of these in a pawn shop near me. I think its still there too but I bought a SQ S1 2250 so I really dnt need it lol
LOL Btw, I would LOVE to see you test the Rockville db25 as I just may replace the Directed with that one.
cant wait for md audio to make these update these amps like what they did with orion
MD doesnt own the US brand of Lanzar.. only international
oh dang wow. thanks for sharing the info
Hey man u sound try to do the rockville m2 3000w and 750 rms I really want to no how much the watts is really in the amp
Please release the new amp video you have been talking about. I need a new amp!!!
I don't know why but some of these amps only has 5 fuses and not 6. So I don't know why they changes it to 5. I'm wondering if the ones with 5 fuses are as good or are made cheaper.
Hi im after sum advice iv got 2 15 bassface 15.1 spl svc rated 750watts each @4ohms if i joined the 2 together to bring them to 2 oms would the lanzer amp run them
hat about the .5 ohms i thought all the opti series were 0.5 capable????
Good day, I would like to know what Amplifier do you recommend to play 2 Alpine Type R 1000 watt RMS at 2 ohms
Them type r are overrated their actually 750 RMS but very good subs budget amp i would go with a skar audio RP 1500.1 if u wanted to spend more get a wolfram audio aw1500.1 the skar is $189 Chinese board Wolfram is $289 but their Korean board better made and 0.5 ohm stable and what else would determine which amp to get would be if your subs are dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm?
Can you please test the wudi 500.1 cheap Chinese amp on amazon for 55 dollars. I would like to know how many watts RMS at 4 ohm and 2 ohm
so what's the sound track in the background of testing
($500+ for over 4kwrms is a good price at this time)
The end of the video I put all the specs and include the efficiency number for certified ratings...
@@bigblank69 Oh! Okay cool thanks!!! I'll check'em out!
Cheers, Damian
Can you make a video on power acoustic a3000db please, no body has one
What's the best amp for a single 12 in JL sub ? Channels ohm ? Etc
You should test the new wolfram artic wolf series
Hello, I have (4) Skar EVL 10" woofers, what amp(s) would you recommend?
Have you dynoed a Rockford fosgate t20001bd? If you haven't I'm in nc I have one I could lend you for video
There board just like Power Acoustic a3000db they bang hard
Would you be willing to make a video on a Phoenix gold sd1300 amplifier let me know its packed up ready to mail
the 180amps of fuses is a good start for 2k
What do you think 140 amp is good for? I keep finding different answers on different calculators. I believe it to be good for around 1960; but that would only be if the amp ran at 100% efficiency?
@@howiefeltersnatch2973 amperage × voltage × efficient (65% for class A/B, 80% for class D)
That will get you close
@@howiefeltersnatch2973 assuming you're at 14.4 volts and 80% efficient then 1600 rms
Can you do a dyno on the taramps dsp 1600?
Loved the amp & was impressed. Ran at .5 ohm with gain between 1& 2 o'clock. But it smoked on me after 3 weeks & wasn't even hot to the touch. I think it had a bad solder to the board on one of the smaller coils right where the fan is. Would've loved to got it fixed
Are you planning on doing the new wolfram O-series amps?
Whats the song you use during the amp dyno
Where is the half ohm test?
