      Yeah I have a Cutler & Trubisky jersey. I was just about to buy a Fields one. So I get the hold up & wait. I have a Fields decal I never put on my Truck. I’m in same boat as you. I really hope we have a QB finally.

    Sid Luckman, was a top notch QB, for the Bears. He is the only really outstanding QB, in Bears history!!

    105 years in? . . . Sid Luckman won four NFL Championships in the 1940's and is in the HOF . . . Caleb hasn't even played a game yet.

      ​@@paulfredericks5668It was a very different game in the 1940's. Football was predominantly a running game, with passes sprinkled in. Luckman was a great QB, not a good QB!!

      You are exactly right... the entire game was totally different, but Luckman was a great quarterback and instrumental to the development of the passing game in professional football.

      We are lacking a solid defensive front. I think after this season, the sky is the limit but if they dont make the playoffs its not the end if the world

      That is absolutely not true. Having Justin Fields as the starting QB, is something that Vince Lombardi, or Bill Belichik, couldn't have overcome!! Fields is one of the all time " choke artists", in the history of the NFL!!

      Negative. That is not a realistic expectation for any rookie QB, even this one. CJ Stroud was a unique situation in a weak division. NFC North is one of the strongest. Additionally, that was a mostly veteran Texans team, our team has some great veterans but still is one of the younger teams in the league. We need to exercise patience and restraint in our expectations. The floor is a winning record and being competitive in the division. If we do make the playoffs, that's gravy on top.

    I want him to succeed, he just has a lot against him. He's a USC QB, who is coming to Chicago. A school full of QBs that haven't succeeded in my NFL fandom, combined with a franchise that has NEVER developed a QB. We will see

    Tyler made a lot of good points but he makes it sound like the Bears have never been successful. Before ‘85, they won 8 NFL championships. I know it was a different era, but Halas started the NFL and built the ‘85 Bears, hired Ditka and all that, right before he died. The dark ages started immediately after but not before the 80s.
