Back in 1970 there was a NEW BAND called CACTUS! A very young Eddie and Alex Van Halen had heard there first album, and in 1974 they did a cover of Parchman Farm that was on the Cactus album....This is actually Val Halen tribute to CACTUS and the song Parchman Farm.....Parchman Farm was written by Mose Allison, and it was a jazzy blues song....CACTUS turned it into a freight train! Cactus was a BADASS BAND!

It' so funny when I think about my rowdy high school..me and my pals were the " Bad Boys", but there was a certain teacher that was so doggone sexy she'd melt us into behaving and learning, while the others would always have difficulty getting us to even pick up a pencil.

That's crazy..when I was young I had an English teacher who was not shy lecturing about sex in
literature which is fine for students a bit older than I was. It actually made a lot of kids in class
uncomfortable. My mom eventually found out and pulled me from the class.

Eddie on guitar and his brother on drums..alex didnt seem to get the same respect as his eddie....my opinionhe was vastly underated S a drummer.
Alex Van Halen was notoriously bad at the dance moves. Watch the video closely & see him always a fraction of a second behind the others & turning left when the others went right. Wicked drummer though.
