You're welcome! I too have been there before but this time was different. It was not busy at all and it was cool and rainy instead of the usual hectic and busy days in the summer. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

This video is full of history and costs of tours, a beautiful walk through the town with explanations along the way. It is my favorite video of Alaska! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much! Skagway is such a neat Alaska town with so much to share. It was pretty laid back in this video but it can definitely be a busy and active place in the summer. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment.

Looks like a really quiet town.

It was very much the end of the season there with only a week left in the Alaska cruising season. I have been here in the summer and it was very busy then, especially when cruise ships were in port. Either way, it is an interesting place. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Great video! Wondered what camera you are using to get good footage even though it was raining?

Thank you! I used a combination of a GoPro Hero 9 and an iPhone 14 Pro. Both have great stabilization so no gimbal was needed. The GoPro worked particularly well in the rain because of its fixed focus. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting!

Thanks for these Alaska videos, they're very interesting. For someone who isn't a fan of crowds, when do you think would be the best time of year to take this cruise??

I'm definitely not a fan of crowds either but it bothered me less than I expected. That being said, I prefer the shoulder seasons: April, May, and September because it is a more adult crowd. Cruising has become so popular that ships are filling up even in those periods. You can usually find places on the ship to get away and relax with not too many people around. Also, it's definitely worth the cost to get a balcony room just to have a space that's your own. I love to just sit out there with a cup of coffee and watch the world go by. The cost to upgrade is really not that much. Finally, there are just a few places that the crowds can appear anyway like embarkation day or getting on and off the ship. I just try to chill and go with it since there's not much I can do about it. To me the cruise is worth it. Thanks as always for watching, commenting, and supporting the channel.

Last half of September. It was cool and rainy but still an enjoyable cruise. Thanks for watching and commenting.
