16 years after this album was released and I still listen to this song weekly. It’s one of my all time favourites. Everything about it is cool. Billy Talent is so underrated.
I remember giving a presentation about Billy Talent back in school in music lessons, showing this video at the very end because we still had time left. I remember seeing quite some of my classmates headbanging even though it was not their kind of music at all. Billy Talent has given me quite some great and powerful memories tho. Thanks for everything
Listening to your own voice singing back at you can be very uncomfortable. That said, I personally have never headbanged while facepalming while listening. XD
I can only imagine how proud they must have been. This song was a game changer for many of us. I‘ve been a fan since I‘ve first listened to it. Can‘t even imagine a life without Billy Talent anymore. 18 years and many more to come 🖤
when youre in the studio, its fun listening to it back, but at the same time youre listening to it so intently because you want it to sound how you intended it to. bens just concentrating on it, not painfully listening ! lol
I've got a sizeable canon to rock out to until I die now. Thank you guys!! Never cutesy or cheesy, just pure rock shit with depth in those lyrics. I love it.
2:28 That pick scrape was definitely rerecorded or remixed to be quieter in the final version. I also wonder why they dropped the second verse that was in the demo; it's sick! I'm glad they did shorten the chorus though (demo ran twice as long).
2:44 Watch Jon, He Looked Excited For That Part 😂😂👍👍👍 Great Song Btw, I went To The Concert In Calgary On February 18th, 2017, Best Concert Ive Ever Been To In My Entire Life❤❤❤
Kris Novoselic said Kurt Cobain would of loved this song. All the approval anyone needs. It's a 2000s classic. I was 9 years old when they dropped this! Awesome tune
You know this...how? I'm not saying he didn't like it. It just looked like at first he was afraid he wasn't going to. Wouldn't you think the same thing if you were about to listen to your own track for the first time?
That moment you realize you've just created a masterpiece.
Chills at the idea of it.
sorry to ruin your perfect 200 l iikes but THIS!

Billy Talent 2 was/is such a banger. Every song is memorable
Your comment just made me realize we getting old.. 16 years already?
Same bro, I still listen to this album on the reg. Then again, I just discovered them in 2021 😂

Haha Ian looks so happy..
I love how excited they look about it.

“The holy water in his hands could never wash away his sins” is a fucking stellar lyric. Deeeeep shit.
A similarly brilliant lyric in Viking Death March: "the blood on your hands left a trail as you crawled / down on your knees you don't look so tall"
thank you billy talent for that endless hours of briliant music
i wish they could life 4ever ! :/
Der Kaffee Me too!
they played this yesterday as an opener and it was like BOOOOOOOOM in your face. A fooookin masterpiece. not loosing any of its fascination

Not only singing... When I hear myself speaking in my videos, I would like to delete them and burn down the HDD/SSD
+DJayKay Same here. Hard to even "like" your own voice.
They're focused and trying to completely focus on the sound. We did the same when we recorded our album, it's normal.
No wonder this album sounded so good. Chris Lord-Alge mixed it. Dudes a BEAST.
How can anyone not like this band
They’re such a creative band no matter how old I get I can always appreciate that
I love how Ben is 'playing drums' in some parts to the rythm :3
He was a drummer in a highschool band iirc
I can only imagine how proud they must have been. This song was a game changer for many of us. I‘ve been a fan since I‘ve first listened to it. Can‘t even imagine a life without Billy Talent anymore. 18 years and many more to come 🖤

hahaha this headbanging xD💞 That's why i love this Band so much they're very Funny
when you mute the Video, u can see 5 people headbanging to a random song of your choice...
Im so glad i got to grow up on this band.
Ben at the start looked very: *"Oh god what if it doesn't work out?!"*
**Nods head with face in palms**
Hahahah

the thumbnail looks like Ben is really desperate
like "what am I doing with my life?"
I love watching people really In sync with the music and just vibing so hard man. FUCK I love this! >:)

It's easier to tell he's exited at 3:39
Ben and Ian bopping their heads in the studio is my aesthetic
still their best song imo
I damn near have to pull over whenever this song comes on the radio.
Holy moly, I love to see this reaction!
" Devil in a Midnight Mass" gave everyone headbang
New video title idea: 5 guys awkwardly bobbing their heads to new song in the studio
i just woke up today and the first thing i noticed this song was playing in my head
They had done a 'REACT to music' video before it was popular :D
Drum stops at 1:25 and everyone stops moving for a moment. XD
Absolute banger
this made me hug my computer screen
outrageous song!
I love how at 0:43 they all start unanimously bobbing their heads
this is brilliant!
I don't think I've ever seen Jon smile before :D
aw Ben is so sweet :)
NOT THE PRODUCER, THE ENGINEER! CHRIS LORD ALGE
One of the best sounds ever, yes!
Love to see their heads in rythm

that's such a novel compliment that means so muchhh

They look so cute. Ian in the background simling and all of them booble heads
i dunno why but i love em
this video is a canadian heritage moment
that head.. ben.
i love Ben's head bobbing
This was years ago before the release of Billy Talent 2, he did not have them yet. =)
H...F... They've made history.
Holy fuck is right!
It sure is!
*Starts bobbing head with them"

2:44 that entrance punched Jon in the face.

Where is Ben's tatoos??? :-O
You know this...how? I'm not saying he didn't like it. It just looked like at first he was afraid he wasn't going to. Wouldn't you think the same thing if you were about to listen to your own track for the first time?
2:02 look at the guy on the right, what he is doin???
do u have the videos where they play sudden movements?
guitar!?
He's sitting next to Ian lol
Drummers always air drum lol
dogs in the car :D
its was in 2004!? He wasn't born with them.
His name ain't Billy Talent, Talent, or Billy. It's Ben
what studio is this?
Hahaha! At the start Ben looks like he's just hating life and bracing himself and it just escalates to him rocking out! XD
It looks like it was pretty painful for Ben. I imagine it's always difficult to listen to your own song for the first time.
he's not painfully listening, he's focusing on the sound
None of them have fake tattoos . This was back in 04 or 05
Ben drowned on his voice
Looks like the producer had a lot of job....
Ben *-*
If only they were this good live 😪
they are
I know that... just tried to be funny...sorry! Just thought stupid question => sarcastic answer!
he got fake tattoos...he only wears them on stage...
