me & my cousin(master vw mechanic)use to do vr6 swaps into mk2 gti's 20 years ago when it was rare, and we never had a engine hoist we used dolly carts, dropped the engine& tranny on the cart & push em out
Nice to see a good condition mk3. Ones up here in Norway are all rusting apart, and there's barely any left that hasn't holes in the canals, floor, strut towers, a-pillars etc.
I was expecting a weeks worth of vlogs for the engine removal and you managed it in a day . Very nicely done dude .Very nicely done . 👍 it’s going to be awesome watching you pull the VR5 out and fitting it in the Savoy with those sick engine mounts. That car will be so unique and cool when it’s done . Excellent as always Christian. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
weyland1000 pulling an engine out of a mk3 is surprisingly easy if you don’t run into any roadblocks which thankfully I didn’t lol appreciate the support man!🤘🏼
Great job fast and easy,I hope I can pull mine that smooth. I'm going to do your old swap 2.0 to VR-6 for my MK-3 GTI Golf. You make it so simple.Great Job.
Yeah!! That's bad ass! Looking forward to seeing these mounts and especially the harness that your getting. Is the mk3 power stearing going to work on the vr5?
Honestly I’m not exactly sure I know my power steering lines worked fine from the 2.0 to the Vr6 so I’ll have to see how the power steering pump on the v5 connects but I think it’ll work hopefully haha
notice its the old Abs.... soo good job on cutting the loom. nobody is going to mis that P.O.S haha. birhgt side when you puleld the entire loom and ecu.. you just removed 13,7 ish kg. ;P #CusRacecar hahaha
That’s awesome man I’m glad it’s finally under way! Do you plan on cleaning up the engine bay like tuck it or anything? I know you said you’ll have to get a harness to make it work and I was wondering if you were going with a shaved bay or not. Either way I can’t wait to see the v5 in there instead of that headache of a motor lol good luck with it, can’t wait for the install videos.
Brandon Eberlin yeah currently I plan on the engine bay being pretty much the same as how I did the partial shave bay in my Jetta. Gonna relocate a few things, shave off brackets and tabs, and paint everything
Christian i saw a video on your channel of miley not getting reverse ?..I have the same car & also the same problem ..can you tell me what you did or what the problem was pls ?
Watching your vids inspired me to buy a vw i now own a golf mk6 and mk4
That's awesome!

That cannister is your A/C receiver/drier. Swap is looking fire.
Hey, can you trie to install the front of milley(headlight, grill),on the Savoy?

@@Mk3Smith fact of the matter is you keep us updated and you deliver. We are thankful for you Man🤘👏👏
Nice! Worth the waiting. I want to get my cabrio abf swapped so this is a pretty good how to. Thanks man!
Pieter Kuijk of course man!

Good Work Bro!! Cant wait to see more progress !
Is that v5 motor smoking????
Keep up the. Wicked content bro 👊🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Get a 1.8T!! Would love to see you working on one and building it!
So cool! How’s the top mounts in front of the Savoy? I mean since they are not real bushings, so it aint squeaking or anything?
Savy 5
Now listen to "Steelheart - She's Gone" and think of the 1.8 while listening xD
What about the wiring harness? Are you gonna tackle that yourself?
v5 incoming!
so sick!!!
Which shock mounts do you use for your mk3?
Did you teach yourself how to do swaps?
Finally
So whats up with the back seats in the v6
David Hernandez what? Lol
Christian i saw a video on your channel of miley not getting reverse ?..I have the same car & also the same problem ..can you tell me what you did or what the problem was pls ?
DRD content that was due to my shift linkage not being aligned properly. Once I adjusted it correctly the problem went away 👍🏼
@@Mk3Smith thanx much appreciated ...you should do a video on how to align shift linkage or adjust shift linkage lol.
So it's going to make Miley go a bit more faster? 😂
hello good afternoon Smith hey a great favor do you think you can put subtitles on your youtube videos preferably in Spanish
