This was new levels of ridiculous lmao
Welcome to part 4 lol
Wait for it...
lol can't wait until you get to part 5
Yeah!?
Entire Food wars series is a JoJo reference
Tonio is such a good chef his Stand simply decided to wake up and help him make food, and since he didn't know wtf is a Stand, he was just "ok flying tomato demon, let's cure people with pasta"
this shows that even before, Tonio always cared about the people who ate his food.
@@SUPERLINKX2 tonio best boi ever
That's what I like about Tonio, he is just so good at his craft that his stand was just awoken one day. It doesn't even make the food taste better either ! We need more people like who who developped stands because of how good they are at something.
@@bastiwen Cinderela be like
@@zannchristo oh yeah that's true haha
It's definitely at this point that Araki has become aware of the tropes of his own work. Not only does the stand user turn out to just be a good guy, even the dog death is a fake out.
lol
Araki did state that a way to make someone hate a character is to abuse and hurt animals, so having a fake out and have a character activity help one is a great reversal
Tonio is one of the most inconsequential characters in Jojo and I love him
Tonio is KING 👑
He's wonderful! I love the callback to him in phf lmao.
@Trashthlete What do you want him to do? Force feed his enemies with great healing food.
@Trashthlete Seeing he is a great dude, I see that would be great.
He had a chapter in a spin off that gave him more characterization, and he has a brother in a novel spin off who is important but I won't say more then that.
The best part is that Tonio’s Stand doesn’t affect the taste. It only rips out a person’s problems and fixes them. How delicious it is is solely due to Tonio’s skill as a chef.
Well, It's not stand affecting the taste, but the taste affects the Stand's effect. The more delicious food he can make, the more serious health problem he can heal.
The fact that he is a natural stand user is so underrated. It's kinda like people who unlock nen naturally in Hunter x Hunter, when you are so skilled in a certain area that you basically become superhuman at it.
It's worth the pain
500th like!
@@hylash5444komogis awakening was so good
Only Italian in JoJo that dresses normally
*laughs in vento aureo*
yeah you are right
hhhhh.....
@@lordgeneralmilitantdeezy7550 op is still correct though since no one dresses normally in part 5 🤔
😂😂
We see that in part 5
Tonio’s logic: Has a stand that can literally fix any and all issues with a persons body while feeding them delicious food, making him equivalent to Jesus in terms of curing ailments for people all around the world.
Opens up an obscure Italian restaurant in some random Japanese town.
He needs good ingredients for it to work as well
you know that he is there because he need a special ingredient found in Morioh to heal his fiance from a terminal illness?
All for those Abalonen, man.
He can't heal everything thats why he's in moriocho in the first place.
He's in Morioh to find this endangered sea creature that only lives in Morioh in the hopes that it can cure his girlfriend's brain cancer.
With Sheera’s accurate predicitons at this rate, I wouldnt be suprised if she figures out everything about the main villian before it’s even revealed 😂😂
She’s Epitaph.
You think she’ll be able to tell what his name is, how old he is. Where is his house, if he is married. What is his job, at what time he arrives home. Where does he stand on smoke and alcohol. How late does he goes to bed and how many hours of sleep he gets. What is his late evening routine before going to bed, and how well does he sleep. What is his mind set when he wakes up. What was he told in his last check-up. What kind of life does he want to live. What are his views on having enemies and how they’ll affect his sleep. How his view on society brings him happiness. And what would happen to him if he were to fight?
The Satanic Sock nice
@@TheSatanicSock I love you
Tonio is the best chef, Gordon Ramsay who?
The arrow didn't give Tonio his stand. It was Ramsay's intense training that made Tonio develop it.
@Melon Pan You must be Deep
Ok I did some research and math. Tonio's debut in the manga was in Feb 15 1993. He is 29 years old at that time. Since there's no official birth date for him I have to take the manga's debut as the current time in morioh. So that means Tonio is born in 1964 while Gordon Ramsay was born in 1966 making him Gordon Ramsay's older brother if they were related.
@@Kuro-wb8ue 😏
@@blitzcha0s308 Part 4 takes place in 1999, so shouldn't his birthday be in 1970 instead?
3:58 This scene suggested to me that Okuyasu isn't truly an idiot, but rather that he thinks he's an idiot because of his brother's labelling.
Okuyasu lacks basic knowledge of things but since his dad wasn’t able to teach him things and his brother most likely didn’t care about his intelligence he’s for a fact not a “idiot” but he is ignorant because of his upbringing
Or someone had to make him poetic at one point just for this scene especially
For me it's both I think I'm stupid and I am stupid
He just lacks common sense
I like to think that's called a wise idiot. Or in game term. High in Wis but low in Int
I love that Tonio speaks Japanese like a foreigner. Its such a great touch.
The only thing funnier than this arc is people's reaction to this arc. It straight swerved Sheera's prediction skills.
This is my favorite episode of this part. Also there are real high end resteraunts without menus that just post up what theyre making because thats the stuff they bought to make that morning.
Welcome to Weird Okuyasu Noises: The Episode
5:20 The digestive cells of nearly all Japanese people cease production of lactase (breaks lactose into galactose and glucose) after leaving infancy or childhood, resulting in lactose intolerance.
This is a global phenomenon that occurs for the majority of human beings, especially those ethnic groups that developed in areas where dairy was not an important source of nutrition. Thus, cheese is considered an unappealing/weird food in Japan. See Mako Mankanshoku (?) from Kill la Kill, whose love for cheese is an indicator of her weirdness for Japanese audiences.
If anything, being lactose intolerant should be considered the average state of humanity. It is the European and Central Asian populations where less than 30% of people are lactose intolerant, with prevalence trending downwards with increase in latitude/ decrease in average temperature. Thus, it is Northern Europeans (Scandinavians, British isles, north Germans, Baltics) who have the lowest frequency of lactose intolerance. As it turns out, that's where many Americans originated from, and so America's global media influence made adult dairy consumption seem normal.
wow
All the cheese manufacturers: "I will never forgive the Japanese!" XD
I needed this
Not that I don't believe you. But if that were true, why do they have pizza making vending machines?
All humans are lactose intolerant to some degree lmao it’s not a Japanese specific gene stop spreading misinfo
I can’t help but feel like this chapter _may_ have inspired Food Wars
I wouldn’t be surprised
Part 4 came out in the late 90s so no
BlitzCha0s 2.o I stand corrected
@@blitzcha0s308 You've read it wrong, his assumption doesnt contradict your statement
@@blitzcha0s308 How does that contradict the assumption??? In fact part 4 being so old actually reinforces it lol
damm another jojo reaction so soon, we are truly blessed
I love when Josuke told Okuyasu not to eat the spaghetti in front of Tonio. To Josuke, this is because he's suspicious of Tonio of being a Stand user. To Tonio, he probably thinks Josuke is taking mad shit.
7:00 Josuke just suddenly deciding he should make a ball of Okuyasu's dead skin
I freaking love this episode. My boy Wataru Takagi (Okuyasu) doing a season's worth of work in one episode. I love that they totally pulled a bait-and-switch like that, using the audience's paranoia about the new enemy Stand users! (I also like how Tonio speaks, he has this weird cadence that shows Japanese isn't his first language. He uses weird vocab too, saying "anata" (you) when you don't have to in Japanese, it's implied.)
Tonio was the first person in a while who truly had zero malevolent thoughts. He just wanted to help people with his cooking.
Sheera with the big brain detective moves😂😂👌🏾
it's cosmetic problems - yea giga brain
Cool thing about Tonio is that his stand has nothing to do with his cooking. It tastes so good because Tonio is just an outstanding cook. His stand just heals ailments.
Already? There really is a god.
Follow me little one
Well we have Dio and Giorno son of Dio
Tonio's meal is 3500 yen
Now: 3500 JPY = 33.04 USD
According to jojo timeline, this event occured in around May. of 1999.
Around that time: 3500 JPY = 28.10-29.00 USD
For 29 USD, you can get delicious meal, stiff shoulder healed, sleepy eye refreshment, cavity removed+ new teeth, digestive track cleansing and healing Athlete's foot without having to go to doctor or dentist.
Damn...Considering healthcare costs nowadays being enough to bankrupt someone, splurging occasionally on some proper Italian courses of food for only roughly 30 Bucks when I feel awful seems like heaven.
I'm Italian and I literally love The character of Tonio Trussardi but now I have hungry
Favorite episode to watch of pt 4 shit was funny af
Okuyasu in general: oI JOsuKE 🤪🤪🤚
Okuyasu when it comes to Italian cuisine: *It’s big brain time*
Did you notice, guys? The name of Tonio's stand is Pearl Jam. One my personal favorite bands. 🎸🎶
Bruh probably the most creative episode in any jojo part to date.
I love how it's so detailed that he has a broken japanese accent because hes Italian
The main difference between Josuke and Tonio’s stands are that Josuke can’t heal diseases, sicknesses, or unhealthy habits(low metabolism, stiff shoulders, cavities) he basically repairs things but he doesn’t require any ingredients. While Tonio can heal everything I listed that Josuke can’t heal as long as he has fresh ingredients.
ya but tonio cant really heal someone with a hole in them.
I'm 100 percent sure this was like the first video I ever saw of you two!
I love how Tonio is concerned with the germs Josuke brought into his kitchen and not that Okuyasu was just exploding in there.
Man, shoot I wish Tonio was real his food could help me with my back problems and jaw lol
I recommend you guys watch the English dub of this episode
Just for the one line "For goodness sake drop the meat"
Ah yes, one of the many episodes that remind me when I forget. That Araki is a Sick Bastard
This is such a good fucking episode. One of my favorites by far.
fun fact tonios motivation for healing people and tge reason he came to morioh is that his girlfriend back at home actually has cancer. theres also a little more to his character revealed by different spin offs of jjba, like purple haze feedback. anyways i fuckin love tonio, hes a very refreshing break from the standard formula of enemy stand users in jjba and hes genuinely such a nice and wholesome guy
This was always one of my favorite episodes of JoJo because it's like 15 minutes of good things happening to the main protagonist duo for a change. And Okuyasu's like my favorite Jo-bro, he's like just after Speedwagon. Ranking from best to worst for anime-only it'd be Speedwagon, Okuyasu, Caesar, Buccialetti (mostly because he's more like a team-mom than an actual bro, but in terms of story he's technically the Jo-bro of part 5), and then Kakyoin (it's not that I didn't like him, but compared to Avdol and Polnareff he was very I guess boring).
This is unironically my favorite episode of the part...
Part 4 is just so good they show u normal people with different stands. Best part
My reaction to sheera predicting the future 3:21
First reading the manga of this arc, this was the most trolliest arc ever.
I would love to have some of Tonio’s /Pearl Jam’s food. Fix a lot of bodily issues.
Can we just take a second to appreciate Roshi for dropping all these videos lately? 😎
Your intro slaps!
Whoa. This was quick
Makes me want some of Tonio’s cooking, I got some problems that could use some fixing
this episode was hillarious
Yo sheraa be on another level predicting everything😭
Meti made a great video on this episode about there being tension without menace. Araki is a genius
I love Tonio. Would love to eat his cooking if I can.
Gordon Ramsay's nephew got a stand
3:17. Sheera is so good about figuring things out in anime! Not spoiling anything, but the next couple of episodes hit me hard in the feels!
You know, it's really nice to see finally a persona with a stand that isn't a full psychopath, his methos might be unorthodox, but at least he uses it for good
I love how much of a boss Tonio is in every situation
this is honestly my favorite episode in the jojo series
Been waiting on this episode. Definitely top 5 best eps of JoJo imo. Love Chef Tonio and that burning passion. 😭😭
This is one of my favorite episodes
I never realized. He's an Italian stand user but he never got pierced by the stand arrow in morioh. Reference to part 5
Fun Fact: My sister made pasta when I saw that you reacted to this episode. One hell of a coincidence.
Ah yes that one time a Jojo got so mad he punched a plate of spaghetti for being suspicious
This is the best episode in all of JoJo and no one can convince me otherwise
Is there anything better than an episode with good things happening to Okuyasu?
Despite jojo being like a "new anime". It was written at the same time as dbz. So it likely is a cell reference
This episode represents part 4 so well. Tonio best boy
This is the one I’ve been waiting for
One of my favorite episodes. There were so many different stands but they all made some kind of sense in battle but this was the greatest and weirdest stands to this point. I would hate going through it but it would be noce to feel rested for once ya know?
DO MORE I AM LOVING THESE REACTIONS
5:14 mozzarella rella rella rella
as weird as this is, its actually kinda sweet to see someone who genuinely wants to help others through cooking. Although the method of achieving it is a bit, rough.
Bruh, I love Tonio so much! Good thing he survives
i enjoyed this
Roshi: *Watches a show called JoJo's bizzare adventure*
Also Roshi: 6:50 "This dude is weird, man"
This episode basically teaches you not to jump to conclusions on stand users. Some are good guys
Yesss I was waiting for this episode lmao
Okuyasu explaining how good the food is: SMORT
Okuyasu every other time in part4: smol brain
I like how Tonio gets all pissy if the hygiene of his kitchen is compromised, but he literally keeps a dog there
Appetizer, pasta, main dish, dessert, and healing your ailments for 3500 yen ain't too shabby
Don't think the Stand looking like Cell is intentional. From what I know, Diamond is Unbreakable was released in early 1992, before the Cell Games Saga, which was released in December of 1992.
The on e and only episode in the entire series where the dog doesn't die
I really think that Pearl Jam and Red Hot Chilly Peppers should have switched their stands names.
I kinda thought that red hot chili peppers and esidisi should switch names
Cavities can actually lead to very serious health problems like heart conditions.
I would pay Tonio a crap ton of money just to give me a bottled water that'll make me feel better.
When I first watched this episode I kept thinking he was an enemy XD. The ending caught me off guard ngl.
There's one thing you never do in a chef's place
You never tell someone to not eat their food
I have waited for this 😀
It had been so long since i watched this episode that I forgot how much it made me laugh once we found out he was just a good guy
love the vids
He looks like a friendly chef… because he IS a friendly chef!
That place would give someone a heart attack if they weren't prepared. But if you knew what you were getting and were mentally prepared it could just be an awesome doctor appointment.
OI JOSUKE!
Oh, he'll heal you and make you feel better... but you'll always have the memory of feeling your insides being torn apart. Temporarily feeling good, but at the cost of permanent psychological trauma.
I NEED MOAR JOJO
I still haven't decided which is better; that one time JoJo turned into Food Wars or that one time Food Wars turned into JoJo...
“Sheera, we know people that think Tabasco is spicy.”
IKR?? Everyone has a different tolerance but I don’t taste it! If anything it’s more vinegar-y than it is spicy. I love the flavor of Tabasco but when people are like “hold the Tabasco please it’s too spicy, especially since there’s black pepper in it already” I’m like, “excuse me, sir/madam? I assure you this is not spicy in the slightest.”
It just occurred to me he got mad at Josuke at the end but he had a whole dog just sitting in the kitchen. That has to be worse than Josuke's unwashed hands.
10:53 Why is Okuyasu eating an ex-italian cop ?
Man back then this shoulder scratching shit got me screaming, that was endlevel disgusting but this is still such a nice episode. Just a handsome cook from ITALY who wants to help people and do good things with his cooking skills. :D
Early asf for once 😤
