Hi Kym what a fab little gadget, love the look of it I think its a bit space shippy too, must have seen old movies 😊 Did a really great job and I'm definitely going to be making the salad!! A big Yes Please!! to more vintage gadgets and recipes that would be awesome 👍👍❤ love to you Frankie and the girls 💖🐾🐱🐔 Xx
Oh my goodness I have one of those "salad makers" but mine is at least 50 years old. I couldn't part with it because I have such sweet memories of making cole slaw with my mom. She would press down and I would turn the crank. As a child, it was fun. 😊
Kym, I love, love loved this video! You know I love vintage! To make sure my vintage items don't get any rust I put them in the oven for a bit just to make sure all the moisture is out before I store them again. Thanks!
Good morning Kym, My grandmother had that salad maker thing wish I still had it salad looks good love vintage items :-) Continued prayers for you and Mom and a Hello to Frankie :-)
Looks delicious! And I always love seeing your vintage cookbooks and gadgets. Just curious- have you ever tried any of the weird 50's aspic recipes where they put veggies and meat and stuff in the gelatin mold?? You should totally do a video cooking and taste testing one of those, lol!
What a great gadget. Easier to clean & store than a processor! Use to make the salad for my kids. Thanks for reminding me about this salad. Fun vid Kym!
How cool is that!! Looks like it worked pretty slick. Salad looks interesting too. I didn’t like pineapple when I was younger. But, I may have to actually try this salad now that I do enjoy pineapple. 😃
That salad looks good, I'm going to try it. Living on my own now I love recipes I can make and keep in the fridge to use when I know I'm going to be outside working, or just want a healthy snack.
