nice - I don't have those extra features and mine has been in 60mph winds often with no issue. I don't use ANY straps inside any more since I'm remote.

Is that an 11" you have there? Do you do DSO/hyperstar imaging with the scope as well or piggy back a refractor?

ruclips.net/video/7iywAfSC0ms/видео.html. This video describes the scope and mount a little more. I went with just the 11” and no piggy back due to total weight capacity. TolgaAstro Advised me not to damage the mount by overloading it too much. I’ve been really happy with the f/7 reduced setup. I might try hyperstar but I haven’t bought that yet, it’s another $999. I thought I should get good with my regular setup first.

Is your scope the edge 11? Did you go higher than the 53" to center of the OTA when its horizontal. Struggling right now to try to compute how tall the pier should be for my setup, but i dont have the edge 11 yet, still on the 8, so i'm guessing 3" shorter to compensate?

theskyisthelimit mine is the 8”. I recently for the MyT Mount to support it. I found the center of rotation of my two axis and tried to make the pier so that point was even with the bottom of the dome and centered. Turns out the center is about where the little plate that covers the access hole for running thru mount cables.
I measured from that point to the center of the OTA and it is about 12”. So in the dome control software I have north and east offset zero. Offset to height of dome zero. And offset height of OTA from center of 12”. Those settings put targets in the center of the slot and it lines up to the OTA at every target I have aimed at so far, and the slot tracks for several hours at a time without overlapping the dome in front of the OTA. Hope that explanation helps.
