Thank you for this "How To"! This is an essential step in the process to remove the oil cooler on my 2008 Cayenne S. Once the fan is removed there is plenty of room to work above and below the cooler.
do you have a video on how to test the fan? i tried hooking direct power to it and doesnt do anything. and ive tried several others as well and same result
My 06 Cayenne S started overheating and I had steam coming out yesterday. The cold weather and driving quick stopped the overheating, but I noticed the fan was not turning on. Today I let it heat up past the 180-190 ish mark and the fan did not kick on again....until I turned the car off. For some reason it did the short turn on to cool off the car after the car was off. Why would it not turn on while the car was running, but it does turn on while the car is off? It seems like something other that the fan motor or fuse. Is there a sensor that tells it to kick on?
Wow a video on how to remove radiator that ends before the radiator is taken out. I mean really guys? Why not just name it "how to remove fan shroud"? Lol
