May I say I actually played one of these yesterday at the shop. This guitar and a 00028 sounded very alike. I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone. I would change the strings to ma550s though.
Compared with a few other solid wood small bodied instruments and this guy hung in there especially considering its price. Small and sweet but I wish there was a sapele top version out.
According to the size guide on the Martin website, the measurements of the 000Jr-10, are far more comparable to a 0-14/concert, than a 00-14/grand concert.
I own a 000 and I prefer it to the dreadnought Jr. Though it doesn't have quite as much bass as the Jr., I find the overall tone quality to be slightly better defined. They're both excellent guitars for the price.
I just bought this guitar and absolutely love it. I like this better than the Dreadnought Jr. You can't beat $500 bucks for a nearly all solid wood Martin.
I agree been playing mine a year and it’s opening up nice. Strings and picks make a big difference. Martin Retro monel or silk and steel tone down the highs
the djr looks nicer. the dreadnought body just slaps. but honestly this sounds better cause its got more of a bright high end. less bright than the taylor gs mini but more bright that the dreadnought junior which sounds a but dead to me (lacking something in the high tones).
Great vid! Could you please compare 000Jr-10 with Taylor Academy 12 (A12)? They have exactly the same price and I can't decide which one to get. Thanks!
I have a martin OOO15M (not jr) and my sister has the A12. The A12 is my favorite guitar I've ever played in the $500 range. Not sure of the dimensions but its probably a little longer than the OOO Jr. It sounds terrific and is very comfortable. Its gonna be closer in sound and size to a full size guitar.
I play the 000cjr10e because I use the cutaway feature a lot. If you don’t go up the neck much I’d suggest the dreadnaught for a bit more volume and tone. I love the guitar with monel strings or silk and steel. Also different picks will affect tone a great deal.
@@djstoneenotsjd in the long run you’ll be happier with the spruce. The dreadnaught sunburst is a beautiful guitar that will be gorgeous and prized 30 years from now. It’s worth the extra$ The Sapele top would be less bright initially then opening up when played daily for a year. Also to tone down the upper range use a softer pick and retro or silk and steel strings. The junior sounds best with a lighter touch. Plug in when you need volume. Keep Strummin
Does this have the low profile neck shape? I'm a beginner but things are going well so I'm considering an upgrade from my Tanglewood Crossroads TWCRP, which has a low profile, flatter C shaped neck. Thanks!
That's what I am looking for. A no-nonsense critique with nice guitar-play.

Waiting impatiently for mine to arrive

@@Blazerghost love it so far , very playable.
@@anthonyfox1436 Maybe I’ll do one haha thanks for the reply
Just got mine yesterday. Beautiful.

A few days ago I bought a 000 junior. Better sound and more bass Than the dreadnought jr. But it might be the one I tried...
Please compare to it's closest rival, the Taylor GS Mini.
Thank you! I have been looking for an acoustic for a Yule gift to my ten year old daughter.
Thank you Mr Phillips for all the videos that educate me and help me choosing my next guitar!
I'm opting for the 000-13e, but this one sounds fantastic. Yep!

How is the size comparison between the Dr Jr-10 vs. 000 Jr-10?
A Little Martin for grownups... Brilliant!
wonderful
Sounds great!

@@cashmoney9256 Great info. Thanks so much!!
@@jackiexu8 sure. I've never played the 000Jr but I'm sure it's nice. I would consider fret/finger spacing and tone between the 2.
Is it a thinner body than the Dreadnought?
No sir.
Can you compare 000CJR-10e vs 00X1AE? This two are good camping guitars but does the all solid JR is better sounding compare to the laminate 00x1ae
Go with the 000cjr you won’t regret it. Solid wood is the magic factor no matter how good the hpl sounds
Sounds bigger than I thought it would, sounds better than the djr-10 to me.
what hard case would you suggest for this guitar.. that fits :)
Sorry, we're not aware of a hard case for this size.
Beautiful sounding guitar! Can you tell me the body width at the lower bout and the dept. I am short and have short arms. lol Thank you.
how smaller bigger is this compared to the 0-18?
Hi, I play folk songs. Would you advise me Martin 000Jr-10 or Martin DJr-10? Thank you in advance :)

Good. Some serious competition for Big Baby Taylor
The baby Taylor isn’t actually real wood though it’s laminate isn’t it. The Martin baby is also hp laminate
Would be nice to hear it in tune

No, it has a proprietary neck shape called "junior" - please see ALL the specs here: www.maurysmusic.com/martin_000jr_10_guitar_specs
can you make a comparison between 000jr10 and guild m20 or m120
I'm sorry, we don't carry Guild

Hi Spoon ! ! ! :-)
Im curious, is this same size with actual 000 or a little smaller?
Smaller.
A lot smaller or not much ?
They need to release this model in mahogany
Agree!
I found a really flat sound at this model
