20 years of unfair contracts in the companies favor. And NOW the company and their bought off politicians are saying we should "Have a fair contract on both sides". I say screw that. They have screwed us in the contracts for 20 years. If we bargain a (fair) contract we're the company leaves happy too. Then we are still at a net negative. We need large reparations from the companies for the last 20 years. They (the corporations) need to leave these contracts feeling hurt and dissatisfied to get us back to the baseline.
Moved to KC was in a robotics class someone told me. Work at Ford you be making max in 4 years. It took 8😢! This contract is crucial for my long term tenure.
All the people chirping about her vehicle didn't hear in the beginning. How is she supposed to travel back and forth to work or take her children places? In a p.o.s car? She's not entitled to the American dream? You're hating on her for having a newer vehicle, instead of the greedy corporations. So great job on rooting for millionaires and billionaires instead of someone you more likely can relate to.
Your relatives that could "make it on their own" was a time where people bought American made vehicles and other items. That is not the case any more and it continues to get worse. Our area has lost two Union auto plants and countless suppliers over the past 10 or so years with no end in sight. There are simply fewer and fewer vehicles for the Union to build in America every year.
I can't wait to be unemployed, laid off for however long yall get to make your dreems come true. For the rest of us that, Actually make parts for the cars you just put together, we will be the ones hurting.
Get married why are you a single mom ..there was a time single mothers were shunned looked down...where is the father if he's dead there may be social security to help ,child support ? ...dead beat father. ..your choice to have kids w him what is it ?...yea there was a time a single income could support a family - then all the women entered the work force and cut wages

I make a good salary and refuse to pay the insane MSRP (best prices possible) for an F-150. I suspect she didn't pay market value but, payed Ford employee discount. Is that benefit factored into her cost of living? And, I suspect she voted for (like most union shops) Biden and his amazing economic agenda.... read crazy inflation. Over my adulthood, I have purchased mustangs, broncos and rangers and they all had the same issues.... crap fit, finish and overall quality. However, they where more reliable then today's recall laden rigs. Plant closures? Yup, been there done that and I moved on. With possible exception of government employees, there is no such thing as job security. On a side note... 'I am a single mother' is old. With the exception of sexual assault or being a widow, single mothers have made poor choices with who they have chosen to have a child with. And yes, I grew up in a 'single mother' home.
I see this woman is driving a 50k truck yet complains that she doesn’t make enough to provide kids with what they need! She is buying them what they want on top of probably a $750 monthly truck payment on top of housing insurance and food! No company owes you anything! You should be compensated based on YOUR value not based on how much a company earns. This lady needs to step down in truck and purchase a car and things she can actually afford rather than complain how she may be under paid. She obviously has no idea how to prioritize her earnings or live on a budget. How she can complain about money while punching her code to get into that expensive truck made me sick. This lady is a terrible example fox this video
You obviously didn’t even listen to the video🤦🏻♂️ it took her 6 yrs barely making anything to finally get hired in at $16 an hr.. then she was at that for another 5 years.. you think she didn’t struggle to make ends meat that entire time? Not to mention moving to different plants 4 times! She busted her ass all them years making crap money an working long hrs to finally be at top pay and splurge on a nice vehicle and you’re going to judge her based on that one thing🙄🤦🏻♂️ Based on their value? Without the workers these billion dollar companies wouldn’t be billion dollar companies.. you really can’t be that ignorant😳😂
She makes bad life decisions spends more than she should making it to where she's living paycheck to paycheck then acts like a victim. She could still have a reliable safe vehicle at a much lower cost saving her so much money. Uneducated loser will always remain that.

How many Americans are building steam locomotives, wringer washing machines, or console TVs today? That's what's happening with ICEs vs EVs also. Workers making internal combustion engines and all related parts have to face the reality that ICE is on its way out the door as far as consumer vehicles are concerned. Who's buying component stereos and tower speakers in 2023? Times change, new technologies replace old technologies. Very few people are making pedal spindles for wool yarn anymore. The UAW is a great institution but it's trying to bargain for outcomes that the marketplace is supporting less and less.
EVs are being forced. It's not a natural evolution. It's probably "inevitable" in the future but not the near term. Further, having some ground level minimum of manufacturing is fundamental to national security. An ultra minority of people have disproportionately benefited from outsourcing the majority of manufacturing from America. This is sold as capitalism "lifting people from poverty". What little manufacturering we have left must be preserved and nobody is going to work in them for less than Wal-Mart pays.
@@wrifraff True, but EV motors have fewer parts than ICEs and there is simply a declining need in the emerging markets for a worker assembling ICEs or creating the related components. It's similar to people working in the Medical Records departments of hospitals as patient charts went from paper to electronic. Tens of thousands of employees working in Medical Records departments were no longer needed as there are no longer paper charts to be dealt with. Patient data is now put into hard drives and servers. X-ray film has been replaced by digital images. The UAW has a weak hand concerning the issues surrounding ICEs and associated labor. Ford, GM and Stellantis execs are not going to continue to promote ICE in a global paradigm switch to EVs because their companies wouldn't remain competitive as consumers begin to replace their cars with EVs... especially in markets like Asia and the EU that have already and will continue to outlaw new ICE sales. California is just the first US state that will outlaw new ICE sales in about ten years. The UAW is trying to bargain to keep ICE workers working, which is commendable but not realistic as the world loses its appetite for outdated 'dirty' technology clearly contributing to heat trapping gases in the atmosphere while a Tesla can achieve 0-60 mph in 2-3 seconds and other EV models are introduced monthly around the globe.
There are still hundreds of millions of people that refuse to ever buy EV. You act like the entire world is just going to jump into an electric car all at once. Not too mention most lower and middle class can’t even afford the cheapest EV out there. Gas engines will still be relevant for hundreds of years to come. Actually LESS than 1% of cars sold in America are EV🤷🏻♂️😂
@@Pickle_Riiiick There was a time when everyone had a landline telephone. There was a time when most people had a flip phone. Now, most people have a smart phone and no landline telephone. Gasoline, because of Russian aggression and OPEC+ supply cuts, is above $4/gal in most areas. Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide buildup in our atmosphere will cause crop failures and starvation in the coming years. Additionally methane gases from vegetation decompostion in previously frozen areas is even more heat trapping than fossil fuel exhaust, but is happening because ice is receding in the planet's pole areas due to exhaust pipe gases. The planet Venus has a lot of carbon dioxide trapping heat and its atmosphere is over 800 degrees F. All car companies planet-wide are absolutely converting away from ICE and replacing it with EV. China has outlawed new ICE car sales, the EU and places like California have set a date when new ICE will be illegal. You will be forced to buy an EV in the next ten or so years if you need a new car or truck... like it or not.
