Most reactors notice the extended one take, but few truly recognize how impressive it is. I rec people to just watch this episode even if they dont want to watch the show
I love getting to see people experience this episode for the first time! Just first class film making , really - there's a really great little featurette here on RUclips on how they filmed the episode, if you search for 'making of episode six hill house'. And you may have seen it while editing, but if you didn't, there is a sort of 'hidden' cut just like you predicted when Hugh enters Hill House - right after the chandelier falls. It's clever, people are distracted by the jump scare and usually miss it. I know I did at first. But that is the only cut in those first 23 minutes. I love how it feels like a play where you're on the front row, with the way the camera circles them while they're arguing.
