    I remember the day Jeff became a legend in Russia. It was after his fight with Fedor Emelianenko. Not because he won, but because he was beaten to a bloody pulp, but refused to give up. He was extremely depressed after the loss until he saw the amount of outpouring support from Russian fans for his warrior spirit. And that is the Russian spirit he speaks of

    These kind of videos are priceless. So much condensed experience for 19 minutes. Especially in times of very dark clouded western propaganda, warmongoring and hatered.
    The thing Jeff said about someone reminding him how to dress up his daughter is something that very much describes main difference between west and slavic eastern Europe. Jeff hit the spot. Coming from sociologyst living in the EU. Westerners dont care about each other, not even their own family members let alone someone on the street. They lost social bond, and it had gotten bad.

    The story about icon is heartwarming. But i have to note, that the fact Jeff's mother became her usual self for some time, is a state called "Terminal lucidity". It happens to people with dementia and is a singh that they are going to pass away soon. Sometimes it lasts a few days, some times few weeks, a person starts to act normal, jokes, remembers everything, turns to former self but it always ends up in leaving this world. At least it's a merciful way to say your goodbyes.

    What an amazing story, so happy for you, brother! Did you know that as per ancient slavic tradition described in our book "ВЕДЫ", every boy was supposed to leave his home place and go travel to foreign lands in search of wisdom and true self? Some returned and created families, but many didn't and had families elsewhere. The long history of humanity has distributed Russian souls all over the planet. I'm a Russian who has left the USSR at 21 and landed in the States with $40 in my pocket. After 20 + years of finding some wisdom and some of the self in the US, out of all places, I've ended up in Madagascar..., go figure ... Haha I knew 10 years ago that Jeff would eventually move to Russia, as it is right now Russia is far better than any western country. More justice, more dignity, more freedom and more humanism. Every country has its own problems so does Russia, its about choosing whats best for your self. I lived in Sweden for 25 years and would trade Swedish passport for Russian any time. On the surface Sweden looks great but spend 25 years there and soon enough you will notice what a cesspool of a country it really is, same as rest of western countries. Corona period was the last drop for me, the way those people behaved and how they showed their real face it was impossible for me to stay there, now i see them as enemies tbh. I loved the first 10 years there but it changed a lot. Was actually thinking of leaving for Russia but i am too tied up (Emotionally) with my fatherland (Montenegro) so ill be here until the end of days and whatever end that awaits me.

    The best way I can describe Russia is this. I lived in Canada 20 years. In Canada, strangers have to act nice and pretend to be interested in your life. It's how everyone is forced to be since childhood. Political correctness and being "kind". Yet, you feel loneliness there. Nobody is actually genuine. In Russia, people may be colder, but you somehow feel closer to them. They don't put on a mask, they show how they feel. If they are in a great mood, they will spread it. If they have a bad day, they will not hesitate to show it. But at least then you feel like you know them. You can relate. In Canada everything was fake to the point you feel numb. And you don't know why you are sad.

    • @jinkazama9017
      @jinkazama9017 13 дней назад +1

      Same with in the US. Constant fake, "customer service" smile everywhere you step. I even had an American coworker that laughed at almost every other little thing I would say that wasn't funny, and smiled nearly non stop. It was just outright strange.

    Last year I have watched quite a few expatriates who moved in Russia and decided to stay here. That is making me proud of who we are. Despite all this hate and willingness to disconnect us from world community we still remaining the same. We never hate people back. We love everyone disregarding nation, religion, skin color (at list majority of us).
    Thanks very much Mr, Jeff Monson!!!
    People from all over the world please don’t hate us. We didn’t deserve this. Let’s stay together and fight “progressive” moral standards, respect each other being a good friends.

As Russian, I think that present of crafted icon from unknown guy was not the thing that did those 6 weeks. I'm 100% sure it was you, who returned to home and made her remember and restore to better state, since she was understanding the point she's got to say Good Bye, and got to do it as right as she can. & I believe she elevated to better world. From your story I think no need to tell you about honest deep feelings ppl can share. Keep that icon and let it be a piece of memory that bringing a little light in your way. Long live & great happiness to you, Jeff.
