Personally, to give my input on your Imotek conundrum; I like to take character units from Space Marine sub factions I don’t play, and just file off their heraldry to run as my own character who fills the same role. I’ve got an Iron Father Feirros model I run as a Gravis Techmarine, and a Tor Garadon I run as my Chapter Master in Gravis Armor. Heck, I even picked up Guilliman to convert into Dorn, because my Chapter is formed from a mix of Imperial Fists and Salamanders that fought together during the War of the Beast, and the narrative game I’m running takes place in the TTS continuity, where Dorn is not only alive, but has a precious boy that he loves VERY much.
Jay, remember with vantage in kill team it only lets you ignore conceal in LIGHT cover, not heavy. I’m assuming a lot of the platforms are going to be heavy, so it should be easy to hide down below
I reeeaaally like the new Scout Marine team (man likes space marine shocking I know). But I've got a converted SM chapter based on feudal Japan, and these guys would make for some really good ninja/shinobi conversions imo
Just build an Eldar army, show us how to paint Aspect Shrines differently, cause while in lore they GENERALLY follow the color scheme of their Pheonix Lord. There are also those who vary from the classic colors. Asurmen has a personal guard of dire avengers who wear crystal armor... maybe we can see Emerald Striking Scorpions of Karandras from EonsOfBattle?
My headcannon for Necron characters is that the Dynasties build bodies for the character to download their conciousness into or perhaps just like stick the "brain" into a new body wherever they're operating. Unless I want them to look out of place but usually I don't.
The new Kill Team terrain is a day at the AdMech Community Pool. Jumping rules require you to take a test. 1 in 6 chance to fail. If you fail you don’t move & that action ends.
Jay, there is more than "a few" Necron models still in finecast. We got Nightbringer, Deciever, Trayzn, Anrakyr, Obyron, & Zahndrekh,. I left Orikan, Lord, and Lokust Lord off the list, as Orikan and one of those 2 lords are rumored to be getting a plastic model as well. I keep hoping that the Nightbringer and Deciever will get replaced with models with the same level of scale and coolness as the Void Dragon got.
Always paint your characters to match your scheme, always. Looks better, feels better, makes sense and stops you from selling them, you know I'm right.
Did anyone else notice that most of the Bretonian models are going to be the same models from 20 years ago? Bowmen, men at arms, knights on horses, trebuchette pegasus knights....hmmmmmmm I wonder if they will be full price
Part of me hopes that s3 Killteam bounces around a bit more in setting instead of just solely Oil Rig.. but we'll see, maybe the rules will be really cool. I was hoping we'd get a mix of close and open boards, where within certain terrain you had Close Quarters rules (like chunks of crashed space hulk, or really heavy foliage)
You do know that vantage only ignores conceal if you are in light cover? If the supports are heavy cover you can hide. Same with open boards enough heavy cover and vantage is not that oppressive, still strong, but not as oppressive as you make it sound.
I was thinking of using the scouts to "upgrade" my assault intercessors into primaris crusaders, since they can be bigger Squadrons and slightly cheaper to run.
Stilt sniper man is fun, love the vibe, will probably have one. Was def hoping for more of a five or ten box type unit tho, as someone who doesn’t play very often that’s a meatier project, would tickle the imagination more.. oh well

Yea, the salvation box set feels like shoe-horning new models into a box. The striking scorpions alone look like they don't have a lot of customization. If you cannot provide a Sarlak Pit equivalent, just pass on the terrain and make a more affordable box set.
Honestly can’t see this killteam selling anywhere near the same amount as Octarius or Into The Dark, there is still people to this day clambering to get those boxes as they are really the only way to get into killteam unless you want to spend 2x-3x the price or go about playing it missing the vast majority of what is needed to enjoy it Where as this terrain absolutely sucks and the folks on the killteam Reddit have found that some of their old terrain (that even came in a magazine) can be used to almost identically match what they have made, as for the models they are just too standard and I can see most killteam players just waiting to buy the scouts for half the price when they come out alone Only people I can see buying any of this are die hard fans who just buy anything GW related, Eldari fans, and some space marine fanatics who just want to get their hands on the scouts early and sell the other half of the models
5:15 Ohhhh the little bastard triangles on finecast... 😡😡😡🤬 I bought the ork tank busters, was still finding bastard triangles when i had nearly finished painting them.
I'm annoyed the Scouts are in the Kill Team, just due to how Kill Team boxes sell out because were gonna have everyone who wants to play Kill Team fighting to get them and everyone who plays 40k trying to get them, like I want to replace my dinky old plastic scouts with the new ones but It'll probably be a nightmare, my only hope is that GW have fixed there warehouse issues as still plenty of Leviathan boxes out there, they made a metric butt tonn of Space Marines that just came out I even think the new Tyranids are back in stock and stuff like Land Raiders are finally back in stock. Rant over, I kinda like the new terrain, like the boilers, generators and overhead walkways will be perfect for the forgeworld themed terrain I'm painting for my battlefield. New Imotekh is cool, for some reason I own all the Necron citadel finecast named characters and c'tan but It'll be nice to have an Imotekh I won't be terrified of dropping and have breK into a million shards

I struggle with the whole "Do I paint this character right or how I want it thing" too... rule of cool should always prevail though lmao
Honestly can’t see this killteam selling anywhere near the same amount as Octarius or Into The Dark, there is still people to this day clambering to get those boxes as they are really the only way to get into killteam unless you want to spend 2x-3x the price or go about playing it missing the vast majority of what is needed to enjoy it
Where as this terrain absolutely sucks and the folks on the killteam Reddit have found that some of their old terrain (that even came in a magazine) can be used to almost identically match what they have made, as for the models they are just too standard and I can see most killteam players just waiting to buy the scouts for half the price when they come out alone
Only people I can see buying any of this are die hard fans who just buy anything GW related, Eldari fans, and some space marine fanatics who just want to get their hands on the scouts early and sell the other half of the models
5:15 Ohhhh the little bastard triangles on finecast... 😡😡😡🤬
I bought the ork tank busters, was still finding bastard triangles when i had nearly finished painting them.
I love him I'm gunne try and make him look like a weird stree with a ghillie suit
The admech cual have received some techpriests, no leaders but like a 3 man unit of initiates or even a new high grade techpriest, like the ones you can see in the videogame, a religious one with candles and books mmeshed with the extra arms
That dude on dragon looks to me like a chaplain from 40k
Tall admech ❤
I just want a refresh model of lemartes
The AOS dragon rider looks so much like a chaplain
