Cool to hear a young man talking about his dream as the company is just hitting it's stride. Paul must be a helluva salesman to promise guitars before he has the capacity to build them.
@The House that Jack Built That was a compliment, bud, not a dig; so calm down. He was able to get more orders than he had capacity to fill. THAT is the sign of a great sales man. To this day he is amazing to watch when he is telling you about what PRS is doing.
Props to paul for creating such unique instruments. I've had dozens of guitars over the years and there's only 1 that I would never let go of; my PRS. Thank you, paul!
I don't know why but I was compelled to buy a PRS as my first electric guitar. Reading and watching these historic treasures are making me glad I choose this guitar. I can't wait to get it from sweetwater now. Hope I could meet Paul maybe at Namm one day.
2015 sounds like it might be a good year for me to finally buy the US made PRS of my dreams. Just waiting for that Custom 22/Studio with a thin flame maple neck and fretboard.
4/4 means it's almost an inch(mostly 13/16") thick. That's all. www.woodworkerssource.com/blog/woodworking-101/tips-tricks/what-does-44-mean-when-talking-about-lumber/
probably because he was actually making them himself ? ..It looks like by the time this video was made Paul isn't making anything, all the other guys are
"Give us a couple years, we'll be up there with Fender and Gibson."
He forgot to mention surpassing their quality XD

I love prs guitars, and I enjoyed this video very much.
I love Paul. So humble, so driven, and vastly intelligent.
I only knew the modern factory videos, then i found this. Amazing to see how far they have came.

I only have two dreams: One is to work at the PRS factory.
The other is to have a very large guitar-shaped lunchbox.
What an amazing success story!!

Does anybody know whats the song (or group) that sounds during the video?
It's crazy how much everything in this video has aged except the guitars still look great
Paul, Greetings! has anyone ever told you that you look like Johnny C Holmes!!
I thought PRS tops were book matched from a single piece of maple. Paul says they used 4/4 maple for the tops.

"we're calling to inform you that your cars warranty is about to expire"....
PRS is the Steve Jobs of guitars.
LMBC6Brian I've seen a few interviews with PRS and I've no reason to suspect he's a raging ahole.
The body hits the router bit at 4:34. Oops.
Although all of them are great, the ones before 1990 are simply just the best. Paul got it right the first time around.
