The Pinecone models SG1603 has turned out to be incredibly popular in the RC world and because it was such a success other companies like Eachine and UDIRC decided to rebrand with different body shells but use the same chassis as the SG1603.
SG1603 was so successful as it offered a great package for a beginner just starting out and awesome Hoonitruck styling which looks amazing!
I wanted to complete my collection so I asked Banggood to send me the UDIRC 1604 and today we take it out for a run and talk about why all RC fans out there should own at least one of these mini drift cars.

@@lucwetzels3049 i checked, there is no 1608 , the 1607 is the new one with the Porsche body.
@@darkki94 on the box of the SG 1607 shows the SG 1608, looks like a bathtub Porsche, creamy tan colour.
Definitely worth the money. I got a brushed 1603 for my friends 7 year old son and I must say they are not only fun but can take a hell of a beating! I liked his so much I had to get a brushless version for myself!

I totally agree with you brother! I’ve got 3 of them at the moment. 2 brushed versions and the brushless Lancia. I absolutely love the brushed ones, and have yet to review or try the Lancia. I’m sure I won’t be disappointed. Wish I had Rc buds, as we’d have the time of our lives running these! Most excellent video and review brother!✌🏻😃👍🏻💯⭐️
I actually prefer the brushed ones a lot. They just feel nicer to drive and no cogging! Cheers for stopping by bro!

These are a hoot, drop in the upgrade metal diffs and away you go. I run the brushless Delta variant, for the cost, IMO, you can't go wrong 👍🏻

Well now, you need a Mini-Q Q7 and wltoys k989 or 969. I have a Mini-Q Q7 and I love it!

Hey I currently have the sg 1603 and am wondering if the non drift tires are different tread/grip with the other 2 cars?

Got a brushless one, it’s amazing
I think the brushless version is definitely the way to go for most people, unless you’re really gonna go all out, and try to make this a semi-competitive small scale drifter. For $5 more, you get a BL system, if you get the brushed version, you’re gonna be spending about $50 more to convert to BL. I think it looks, cool, with the whole “rally” thing, RC rally cars are uncommon, and budget rally cars, big or small, are near nonexistent! The body shell and wheels do look to draw some inspiration from the *cough* Traxxas *sneeze* Rally *cough*. At least *cough* Traxxas can’t really sue Pinecone Models, I’m pretty sure you can’t sue a company for one of their products looking a little like one of your models!

These Udi rc's cars are good too. But the servo speed is kinda low, for drifting turning response speed shoupd be high. But its still nice to drive. In " small " rc cars, I'll say 1/28 / 1/24 are the best. For budget, Wltoys k989 is a awesome one!

probably need too lock the rear diff too have a bit more control while running this with the drift wheels.
Im planning to upgrade the shocks. I ordered an 56mm shocks for both front and rear, will suit it? If not can plese tell the length of the stock because the car will arrive only after one month

This is my first one, and I'm gonna use this to get into RCs, my cousin who put me on rc cars has a 1,200 dollar car, and this one seems great to me so, ill learn with this.

How do these compare to the WPL D12 and D42? Yours look more robust and a bit faster.
Great wee cars , the pro brushless versions are abit jittery, would stick to the brushed

Still not a full collection , there is a new udiRC 1607 that is Porsche body. I plan on getting one for sure . Also atm the udirc 1601 brushless is for 69$ at banggood.

I got the new wheels for my sg1603
Is this car good for small rally tracks? Also is it waterproof? Is its proportional throttle good cause i heard that the slowest speed on the throttle is not that slow.
ideal for small flat ish tracks. its certainly splash proof just not fully submerged. even on speed setting one brushless its still fairly quick

And in the 911 box it’s also a VW bettle!! Maybe a RWD conversion for them showing brushed vs brushless, and 4WD va RWD drift in your channel? Covering upgrades would be nice too… think it’s a very popular platform. Great channel!!

Can you get 1604 to do 40 to 50 Mph? and if so is it a lot of things to change?
absolutely and many have done just that. upgrade the brushless system and you will be good to go just remember these are small chassis and not the most stable at speed
@@beyondRC was mostly look for 12 scale . That look actually how them look like a car . But just can't seem to find one . So I let the 1604 work for me, thanks much respect

yes but you may have to switch body posts too

i believe so. May need new body posts depending on which you go for but essentially all the same chassis! Cheers
Which one is the most fun to you?
All just as fun as they all perform the same they just have different bodies. Brushless is quicker but feels a little jittery at times and the gyro doesn't seem to perform as good as the brushed version. Brushed slower but feels easier to drive and gyro is much smoother. Cheers
