    I've been using the "stink bug" start on a sinker (F One 54 Lt vs me 77) and doubt I could get started otherwise. Getting the wing in the air with a some forward speed and stability before bringing one knee up and eventually standing was key. My guess is a mid length board world make it easier.

      Thanks. For watching and input. What is a stink bug start. Last time I heard that term was in snowboarding long time ago

      @@StandUpMagazin Several videos on YT on this. Key for me is resting wing on nose of board as I get into crouching/stink bug position, lift wing in the air same time I raise up onto knees, start pumping go to one knee then stand up keep pumping hopefully on foil soon. I too do not go into the deep with the 54 Lt board. I have a 70 for that. I'll have a custom KT 5'8 x 20.25 x 63lt board soon and my theory is I'll be able to ride that anywhere. TBD

    70kg on my Armstrong 80L.... this problem is beating me up badly. Frustrated and damaging the knees

      Thanks for watching. Sorry to hear that. With 10L positive buoyancy you should be OK for comfortable start? Maybe go 90-100L?

    actually, lift comments make a lot of sense, same volume boards are a PIA when in swell or super choppy waters

      @@venomguysydney thanks for watching. And commenting. I was kind of surprised nobody yet said something about that. I was actually going by another comment from a viewer.

    I am about to start learning wing using a foil assist. So hopefully won't be such a requirement to have big board

      @StandUpMagazin  Месяц назад

      That’s a good idea. Love to hear how that works. How big will your board be?

      @@StandUpMagazin right now the board I have is 105L, I am 90kg. I am at the stage of being able to e-foil.
      Adding now the wing. Will see how it goes.
      As a beginner extra volume is important. But the large board makes hard entries and exits and carries.
      The push for a smaller board right now for me comes mainly from the will to do pumping.

    I see people excited of this jumpy video style, but i have to close my eyes.
    The problem is that even the audio jumps.
    Have you seen somebody on RUclips with useful info does it ? I haven't

      I thanks for the comment. I watched videos where people recommend this and I really like it it’s never boring this way and people don’t click away. People don’t want to listen to me taking a breath between sentences… 🤷🏼‍♂️
