somehow complaining about life makes life a little easier, or is it just me?
I am in a group of guys all of my age 16-19 who get together every week for no particular reason just to have a space to share our feelings and have people who have been in similar situations through adolescence.
It is humbling to hear stories about people who have had a way harder time growing up and being able to draw comparisons from other people's stories and see how there experiences can rub off on you.

Hey it's Chris O'Dowd (an in-joke for David O'Doherty fans)
I went to a David O'Doherty gig around 10 years ago. I got the ticket for €10 and his CD for another €10, which he signed for me. He was very nice but a little awkward, which is normal for him.

Oh yes, I recognize this guy from 8 out of 10 cats (does Countdown). Which I should probably watch more of, non-American comedians are brilliant.

David O' Doherty is from Dublin. Dublin is in the Republic of Ireland. The Republic of Ireland is NOT a part of Great Britain, the United Kingdom or the Commonwealth. It is as the name suggests a REPUBLIC and has been for nearly 100 years.
Sorry to go on a rant but after reading some of the comments here some people definitely needed a history lesson.

An American friend mentioned to me a couple of years ago that he actually knew who DOD was (to my surprise!).
Turned out he'd seen DOD doing televised stand-up on some show aired on the Comedy Central TV channel over there a few times. :)

Ha, that was actually really good. Particularly loved the reference to Amelie, I absolutely love that film, but every time I watch it I think, 'Yeah, okay, this is cool and all, very whimsical and romantic, but 6 months into a relationship you need a bit more than whimsy to sustain things.'

My fellow comedy loving Americans, Thanks to youtube you can watch British Comedy shows like Nevermind the Buzzcocks, The Graham Norton Show, and The IT Crowd and then you'll know of all the great comedians before they come over here and fail to entertain the morons that think The Big Bang Theory and Two and half a men are funny. They also give air time to American and Canadian Comedians that are to smart for American Audiences.
