Nice one, Stef. Moving slowly into freelance myself, so these vids are really helpful and encouraging. Thanks!
Interesting video, however it would greatly benefit if you could share more about a roadmap and the first steps for the ones who are just learning to code. Thanks
Thanks alot Uncle 😊
Welcome!
Thanks.
You're welcome
I'm curious about freelancing because i want to learn more about ndas and all that jazz. I would like to learn more about ndas because I got some SaaS and I would like to eventually bring ppl on to help maintain, any suggestions?
Thank you so much uncle stefan, im a CS graduate with a year of experience in Salesforce, i left my last job and trained myself on MERN stack built 17 projects applied for jobs a little in pakistan but the rates are dogwater 😂, don't know whats ahead but ur videos hav instilled hope within me instead of getting $270 a month id rather get that much in a day or a week working for myself
Not sure about the Us, But in Scandinavia Freelancing is impossible.
When you say long start up time, what is the time frame to be aiming for? 6 months? A year?
Typically 6-12 months.
I al learning React now, but have done some wordpress before. Should I focus on wordpress?
The thing is I am worthless in creating good designs...
For freelance, you will find many more Wordpress gigs than React.
Hi, please can you tell us the freelance web developer roadmap. Really confuse about that. I don't even think I know what I am doing.
1. learn to code. 2. build a business website for yourself. 3. Go out and do 2-3 small free freelance jobs. 4. Start going after contracts.
@@StefanMischook thank you very much sir. For taking your time to respond to me.
Question uncle Stef.. In your bootcamp do you teach both frontend and backend skills?
Yes to both. Enough to get your foot in the door. Most of your learning as a pro developer will be on the job. So my goal is to get you there asap.
Uncle Steph, Surely freelancing is better than working a coding job that pays $200 a month? For those who get paid in pennies for the same work they could be doing for clients in freelance and get paid in gold bricks, there isn't any better option as i see it.
That definitely makes sense.
The lack of web skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills pretty much knocks me out of freelancing. I was considering the option but I'm pretty much a backroom type. Happily writting code but not dealing with people. Probably not for me. I'm guessing C++ skills are not suitable for freelancing?
C++ freelancing would be rare. Why not work on your communication skills?
Uncle Stef, is blackmail a soft skill?
LOL! It's actually a hard-time skill. Not advisable.
If you have 3 clients ready to go with zero skills you give it to a consultant with the skill for a free, and make them take you on to help work it.
