Holy hell! Great games! Meme or not, super play by Hippie.
So the way infantry in helicopters works is the crash always does 5 base damage, and then any HE damage overkill from whatever killed the heli gets transferred to the squad as well. Those aero-rifles took a 9 HE I-Hawk missile into a half health heli so they took 5 damage + 6-7 HE or something in overkill, no chance of surviving. Whereas if a helo gets incrementally killed by a SPAAG or something the HE overkill is negligible so any squad with >5 health will survive the crash. It's a weird algorithm but it's consistent, and also why higher health helo transports or CV inf helo transport with more dudes in the unit are a lot better. Biggest issue I think is that the crash does no suppression to the transported unit, so an aeromobile can get killed by a spaag, fall on it, then shoot it with a max accuracy APILAS shot immediately. Definitely should be taking supp on crash.
Hippie said he lost his chinook with a large squad in that second battle with a 12 man command squad... surely nothing HE should over damage enough to do that?
@@Bandanner Yeah at 43:24. Apart from that I agree with Tommy. Maybe it fell on a building so the squad spawned in a non-pathable area and immediately deleted
@@Bandanner If it's the Green Beret Leader in Chinook that dies at 43:30ish in Bravo, it gets taken below 1 HP by two PIVADS and some m113s, and then gets finished off by a 5 HE AIM-9M by the Fighting Falcon. So taking massive damage to the squad there would have been expected for sure but my guess would have been one or two guys survived. It's possible that it stacked with some of the PIVADS and HMG damage coming in at the same instant to pop that extra little bit in the killing blow "tick" or there's some rounding going on, but a minimum 9-10 damage to the squad from the missile kill shot there fits the expected outcome. Also possible but seems less likely that the missile scored a crit on the copter, there are several helo crits that cause 1-2 extra damage which would have been enough to finish the whole squad for sure.
For a second I thught I was watching European Escalation all over again.
crazy play , shows why they are two of the best
wow what a heck of a game!
Insanely entertaining
good cast!
i think Eugen needs to add army reserves to a map. if the deployment zone is overrun. The four star general will save his division in trouble by clearing everything in a 3km radius of the spawn point. by AI controled air strikes.
Interesting idea. I doubt Eugen would put that in but it would solve such issues.
all these years and helorushes still very much a thing
I think shilka and pivads must kill helis faster. And the survivor of heli crash must dead or if not they must stun very long. I think gun aa must buff. Especially against heli.
I think the general consensus is similar to this... just waiting on Eugen to do something about it...
Someone found the long lost human emotion...known as FUN 😂😂
