They`re tired of playing the same music for 8 years ( 6 years in 2012). I noticed that the sound music changed. It is because of the guitar. They used to play in a Fender Stratocaster, and they used to use distortion!!!!! This is missing.
Watch their show at T in the Park in 2006. You will see the Fender Stratocaster and the sound looking realy great ( They will be my favorite band 4ever, independent if they change the sound).

whatever people say i am came out in 2006, 6 whole years ago, they're about 26 now, that means, if math doesn't fail me, they were 19/20 years old when the first album came out. it makes sense for a band, any band, to mutate, to evolve throughout the years (unless you start talking about 99% of the shit made in the united states of the americas), as the band member also grow older, some people are gonna like it, others are gonna hate it, in the end evolution beats stagnation every day and night.
