So far I’m liking what I see with this router. I’ll definitely be picking one up when they go on sale
As a metabo hpt guy it's crazy how underrated that brand is. we've had this for years at this point.
And the HPT one is 36v, and it can use the AC adapter, and it comes with a lifetime warranty.
I've been saying for years that they're the most underrated tool brand on the market right now, especially their cordless stuff.
All my routers are 3.25 hp or trim not sur 2.25 works to replace either. But I can't wait till they make a brushless table saw motor I would be very interested in that.
will you be able to use flexvolt battery's as well
Already on my Christmas list!! Hurry Santa!!
I saw dewalt and had to get here ASAP!! Brother I’m actually in the market for a router!! You’re psychic.
I saw DEWALT and had too see cuz let me tell you that’s real nassssssssss like !
I realize in the comments section people not taking about how compact the router motor is compared to others
when i used to do carpentry/framing wed put the osb sheathing over windows etc and route out the opening instead of cutting beforehand... howzat OhiO?
Will this be an adequate replacement for the DWE625 3HP Route used for worktops by kitchen fitters....?
So glade I waited and didn't get the milwaukee
I like the idea of a dedicated plunger router. I’ve got a number of routers I’ve bought over the years, including standard/plunge kits. All are plugin. The problem is that you’ve got a motor unit in a case, going into another case. That adds weight and size. For a battery model where the battery adds weight and size, I want something as low and light as possible which can only be done in a dedicated model. Honestly, most guys will have more than one router anyway, so I don’t see this as a big deal, particularly as any plunge router can be used as a regular router just by locking it in place. This is the first place I’m seeing this and I like what I see enough to want one.
That’s a nice tool. Like the dust cleanshon. It would be cool if you could get a cord adapter. Like it has different speeds on it. If I was in that line I would buy that! Thank you for the videos!
Also... I put a plunge base on my big router, and I have never, I mean ever taken it off lol
I was hoping for a flex volt version with some major balls.
2 1/4 horse is still plenty power for most jobs.
Currently using the metabo hpt 36v which has a similar 2 1/4 horse motor.
Rest of my tools are team yellow so will be nice to ditch the green at least.
It’s a shame you can’t plug the dewalt into the wall though
I think the “anti-rotation”, kills the power if the motor case suddenly accelerates, which only happens if you jam the bit. Without this you can break/bend the shaft, and cause injury to the operator.
I need this in my life....
Looking forward to the hands on test for the framing nailer
This weekend 👊👊👊
@@ToolReviewZone can’t wait!!! Your review is going to determine if I upgrade from my gen 1
Dewalt already has a plunge base for their cordless router for those who like that option. This one is a dedicated router.
A smart move by Dewalt. I'm not too ready for something like this, but it is a good compliment to the belt sander.
Looks like a useful tool
Oh man….I can’t wait
I'm buying it period don't care what the comments say😂. Be there day 1 to get my hands on it. Idc if I have to sell some shit. 😂
Go Clint!
Real Nace-Like!
I hope they make it cord compatible as well.
why would you want a corded cordless router just buy a corded router all the major companies make nice corded units.
I poses a frued plunge router. The thing is raw power incarnate. Its old and without a thing on earth wrong with it. And iv never even considered bringing in another one..... Until now
Is there a cordless winch that uses battery packs yet?
Don't google it
Go home, you're drunk
Look up warn cordless winch
Yes, there's an Eder capstan winch that runs on a Stihl battery. PCW do a cordless capstan winch as well.
DeWalt already offers a 1/4” router with a removable plunge plate.
This is a 1/2” router not a trim router, do you have your head in the sand?
Looks kinda Nice like!!!!
Looks nice…but I’m not a woodworker. Hope it’s up to their expectations.
It's good for convenience but router like that is best for router table. But don't think it would wirkout for table use.
So when you run out of power and have to add a new battery you do realize how unsafe that is to start it back up correct which could mess up your hard work or throw the router off the workplace.
Anti restart technology is what stops that happening my Milwaukee has it.
No way that 20v can push 2hp. I bet it can only push like 1/4 hp
Isn't it absolutely pointless to create a battery-powered tool if it also has a suction hose port? Or is that also wireless? 🤪
I can turn the vac on without too much trouble
@@landonlakes4782 That was not the question, yet your answer still emphasizes my point.
Cordless mobility is good but keeping the dust from your lungs is very important for one's health, asthmatic here😷
My cordless metabo dust extractor uses a vibration sensor on the hose! Works with any tool that moves 😂
Flexvolt exactor, Bluetooth. Wireless
seen the UK price and it's a total piss take
How much?
No views, 20 seconds, fell off
😂
