I know right. Makes me really glad I got on dragster. Most people considered it a better experience with the lap bars and constant acceleration rather than the "pulses" kingda ka has. Still wish I had a chance to get on Ka.

I can say I am very happy that I got to ride Kingda Ka a few times in the very beginning back in 2005 when the ride was brand new. And yes it was definitely a thrilling ride, but for how short the actual ride is compared to how long you had to wait in line to ride it, just wasn't worth it for me to continue to ride it more times again. However, I am excited for whatever comes next which supposedly is going to even break Kingda Ka's records. It is going to be weird once they start taking the ride down, that I won't be able to see the very top of the coaster and the blinking red light anymore from my place of work.

A tribute to Kingda Ka, written by myself
Kingda Ka, we knew that you’d be the king of all coasters for what seemed like forever back in 2005, but that reign was seemingly too short. You were not only the ‘king’ of all coasters, but also the ‘king’ of the roller coaster wars. Those who have taken on Ka will remember it for years to come on this former king of coasters. No matter if you’ve ridden it or not, from one ride to 10,000 rides, from front row to back, we will miss this former great. Rest in peace, Kingda Ka. 2005-2024

😢 so sad i never got to ride it, but as a coaster enthusiast i’m very happy you’re giving it the proper send off it deserves

The grief I’m feeling from this is kind of embarrassing. This was such an influential coaster. From the time I was 5 years old I was coaster obsessed. Kingda Ka was always my most anticipated roller coaster not because it’s the best ride, but because of its legacy and imposition. I never got to go and I feel like a close pen pal died before we could meet in person. 😓

Same here, at 6 years old this masterpiece brought me into the coaster world and was my ultimate goal to ride it someday (despite living 40 minutes down the road) this coaster kept my love going strong. Long live the king of coasters

@ You never rode it and it was that close?! I live across the country. I would have walked to Great Adventure if I were 40 minute drive away 😂
So sad, at least we have all the new coasters to look forward too. There may never be anything like it again, but there will be better coasters!

@@Usastrong1123 Oh ok, I was so confused. How do you live that close and be so passionate and not go?! 😂
That makes a lot more sense.
