I’m gonna come out and say it, if Olivia ends up with anyone I’m hoping it’s Barba because unlike Stabler, he didn’t walk away without saying goodbye and he kept in touch with her, he checked in on her... Stabler didn’t even check in after William Lewis. I honestly liked Stabler back before he left but he seems so out of place and time now and Liv has evolved. She deserves someone who takes care of her needs rather than focusing on their own
Now Stabler is back in her life and Barba is the lawyer for the "ennemy",,,, The writers want to wreck our hearts ,,,, Stabler is not a good match. But Barba ,,,,,!!!! they ruined his character.
Barbs took the case to keep fair, honorable control of Wheatleys self destruction, which was bound to come one way or another. They all knew it, or should have.
His lil 2 second cameo this season gave me so much happiness 😭

I think she’s in love with Barba; he broke her heart when he left, Olivia only turned to Stabler because he’s there.
@@karenshurley4793 Did you mean she's in love with "Stabler" and was hurt when he left? As well as she turned to "Barba" because he was always there for her? Unfortunately, both of them left but in different ways. I think Barba's departure triggered a lot of abandonment emotions from Liv that she sadly cannot catch a break from. Though she has experienced a lot of that, that wound that Elliot caused I think festers so deeply that it is the most exposed wound that takes the salt first in every relationship that does not last. I think that Barba has weight to what he has been seeing that she is channeling a lot of that hurt she carried with Elliot onto Barba, even though defending Wheatley is a very disappointing and hurtful move after she asked him not to. Even if Barba did not defend Wheatley, I feel that Liv will still fall in a situation where she may project her pain toward Stabler onto Barba or anyone else in her life if she does not address her feelings for him soon.

@@KatieEdits25 I could swear that at some point, there was a scene (maybe it was a deleted one) where Barba is talking to Liv about how hard it was for him because he was a gay, cuban man.
@@shootingcomet082 I don’t ever recall that happening! I do remember him talking about how hard cubans have it in America and that the bad guys give the good guys a bad rep. But that’s all I remember.
But he has spoken about an ex girlfriend (s14 - funny valentine) and it was heavily suggested he and Yelina had a past (s15 October Surprise) so I don’t think he is gay. But he may be bisexual :)
