I just modded the matcha version of it, it sounded really good stock, next to no rattle on my stabs despite having next to no lube on them. with lubed stabs ( i used the ones they came with since i found them to be pretty good) , new switches (prelubed akko browns) and a tape mod it sounds pretty neat (to my untrained ears and it was a budget build so keep that in mind). i agree on the space bar issue, that was my main gripe aswell. I added foam to the inside of the space cap to solve that. Was a bit tidious but it worked wonderfully. Another thing that i found is that the beautiful bevelled edges create some unwanted resonance, so i stuffed some cotton in there. Big plus for me was that is comes in German Iso Layout, which is so so rare in the keeb community. To get something like that that isn't black, white or obnoxious is rare to come by. edit: i see people complaining on the stabs, they must be inconsistent then becaus mine were genuinely so good i was surprised! Fully prepared to buy new ones but decided against it after i tried the stock ones
I'll be honest, I've been in the community for a while and even though I have my own custom keyboard now, I watch a lot of these videos to see how far pre-built keyboards have come. It seems like with almost every new release, we get closer and closer to pre-builds with stabilizers that don't rattle, switches that don't scratch, boards that come with dampening foam, and overall more comfortable typing experiences. This obviously isn't the case with *every* new board, but it seems like most major retailers are taking steps in the right direction. Lowkey kinda makes me jealous that a lot of new people to the community may not ever have to deal with rattly stabilizers and loud spring ping. Thanks for putting out this review.
thank you for the review! im about to buy 3 series but after watching this one i realize that ducky one 2 series have a better built than 3 series - lesser pings - better stabs
Hi I am new to the hobby, I am thinking to buy the Ducky One 3 full size & looking for some advice. I saw that on the top right side of the keyboard are 4 extra switches - keycaps (Cal & sound) I was thinking that will be very difficult to find and change to any other brand custom keycaps. I don't know if I am right or wrong. Please let me know. Thanks!
I wish i had seen this before I bought this 3 months ago, but then again this video was released.... 3 months ago. Any ideas on silencing that dammed spacebar?
I modded the mini and it’s flawless, also just paid 70 swiss franks for it 😂 switches changed to Gateron red, tapemod and lubing the stabs. Flawless board and a banger for me
"Not lubed" first review ive seen that metions that, thank you.
I remember before if you had a ducky one 2 mini you were like the coolest person around.

Anyone have any tips on how to make the spacekey not sound as bad?
Varmilo had better prebuilt stabilizers 5 years ago when I bought mine. Check one of ‘‘em out if you can!

Can you change the rgb led to all orange color?
I'm about 90% positive you can! You should be able to cycle through about 20-30 hues, etc.
