This song still makes me emotional. Still to this DAY the defining song of the Sixers 1982-1983 championship year...the best party time ever in Philly.
I still have this Album, it was the greatest feeling ever to see Philly Sixers win the NBA Championship back then. I remember watching it on my parents 19 inch Black & white TV. I remember recording, Dr. Jay, Moses Malone and Bobby Jones championship speech with my tape recorder.... it was amazing, Take me back to the 80’s and leave me there.
Thank you brings back great memories of me being in reform school St.Gabriels. or The Gabes as we called it... I took a lakers 1980 banner and burned it almost set the whole building on fire. Got another 3 months added on.. they wouldn't take us to the parade all the kids from Philly would have escaped. great times....thanks for posting this.
WOW thanks I needed this Cut so bad! This was the Best Team ever assemble to put on a NBA uniforms! EVER EVER EVER!!! Even Better then MJ's 76 win Bulls! Nostalgia is something Only and What If? Huh
Moses Malone was that missing piece the 76ers needed to get over the top and win that championship! Had Moses been there in 1980 thru 1982, the Sixers could've won the NBA title.
We need a 2022 remake of this
Amen! But without today's Philly rappers and singers!
@@VBaskin2010 without??? So whos gonna do it?? Rappers from NY? LA??
I remember hearing this on WDAS FM as a kid I used to get a kick when he said ERRRRRRRRVING!!!!
RIP Moses Malone!!! We're still grateful to you for what you did for Philly & the Sixers!!!
kristygski Harold Katz was delusional when he traded Moses Malone for Jeff Ruland
