  • In 1982 (or thereabouts), Flying Buffalo's UK distributor Chris Harvey asked the Tunnels & Trolls team to record an audio cassette tape for British T&T role playing game players about the world of Rrr’lff and its history. The result was about an hour's worth of warm conversation featuring Ken St. Andre, Liz Danforth, Jim "Bear" Peters, and Michael A. Stackpole. Please note that Chris Harvey Games was concerned that two of Ken St. Andre's comments might be legally contentious and erased them before distributing the tapes. I'm not sure how many copies of the cassette Chris Harvey Games managed to flog, so this may be the only one in existence by now. I have added an over-long silly intro that grew longer in the telling, but luckily you can skip that with the chapter marks:

    00:07:30 Tape Side A
    00:37:28 Tape Side B
    01:07:19 Outro

It's wild to hear our voices, 40 years younger. I'd forgotten we ever did this tape, but I'm glad you put this out and made it available. So much has changed in 40+ years.

And I completely love your intro -- what a stitch!

I suppose you could ask Mike Stackpole for the rest of the story, and ask Ken what his favorite character of the time was.
