Nice review. I had bought a 1971 lime green OTAS example from John Rich, in 1970 or so,, in Southern California in the San Fernando Valley facing Ventura Blvd. Perhaps the most fun car I have every owned, The cornering ability was unreal for the time and 2 different cars rear ended other vehicles while driving along side me, looking at this car. I sold the car in 1973 to go to graduate school. Fiberglass rear fender and a small black metal bar traversing the front, most likely to satisfy safety regulations at that time, and purely cosmetic and non functional. I had to replace the rear fender twice, as bumping into it always cracked the fiberglass, but, the fenders were held on by two bolts and were cheap to replace in a few minutes. The rear fendier maybe weighed less than a pound or so. There were no quality issues other than the seats cracked and the seats were reupholstered after about 1 1/2 years of ownership. The bottom of the seats actually were positioned just below the body, and the seat cut outs were seen protruding underneath the body giving the car an extremely low center of gravity. I used to get between 38 and 42 miles per gallon, which was excellent for those years. The above video was a nice memory and covered well, the history of the car and how it evolved. There was no air conditioning offered and it was very hot inside the car during the summers.
