I have an AutoArt Jaguar XKSS, and it is beautiful. But my personal collection favorites are my Kyosho Lancia Stratos, UT McLaren F1 (nice, but it could be better), Hot Wheels Maserati MC12, and Norev BMW M1. They are all not the top of the line, but I do like them nevertheless because they are also my favorite cars.
Super car models are better than owing them in real life. No maintainance headache, no fear of scretch and dent, no worry of ppl gather around u to take pictures and touch the car, no need to keep security guards in home, no headache of resale, resale value increases with years passed on diecast cars while not the same in case of real life cars, no headache of spare parts and most importantly u can own all of your dream cars and no need to do huge investments on garage space.
I also collect 1/18 model cars. There are so many producers in the wolrd of Die-cast car maker , for example , Auto Art , Amalgam Collection , CMC , GMP , ACME , GT spirit , Top Marques , MR collection , Matrix , Spark , Minichamps , Bos Models , BBR , Technomodel , AIQ , KK scale , and so on. Since now , I payed so much money for 1/18 model cars , but I can't chose best model from them , because there are a lot of defference between Sophistication and favorite models.
Tough choice to make... I just stared at my collection to find out which ones are my Top 5, but I couldn't decide... One of them surely is the Ferrari 599XX by HW Elite! I agree with you, it's sad that the partnership between Hotwheels and Ferrari is over... But hey, let's give Burago a chance, they have proven with their 488 that they know how to make good models!!

I have the Hot Wheels, and my mirror was broken when it arrived. I just got the Maisto, and I put the Hot Wheels away because I much prefer the engine detail on the Maisto and the opening compartments.

Just would like to share I do have a Maisto Silver Edition Porsche Boxster, still in good condition, opened it 5 times cause I had to restore it after being ruined by permanent markers when I was a kid (I thought drawing engines and sticker would make it look cool) and the wheel broke off. Yes, It is fine now but there are some of the marks left behind.

Hi, my 7 year old son only wants a McClaren P1 toy car that he can push around and pull back in reverse without the pull back action for Christmas. He has several of the metal die case ones that have pull back action. I can't seem to find other ones besides remote control cars. Do you have any suggestions? Would he be able to just push around and always drive in reverse (with his hand) the remote control cars or do you know of a die cast that does not have pull back action but is larger than a Hot Wheel car?
