It would actually be nice to have a challenge. I mean one of the things that bother me about me making art is that when I'm really into a medium, I don't use anything else besides that for weeks. And if I make a sketchbook out of watercolor paper, paper for pencil crayons, then marker paper and so on, I might be able to challenge myself to fill the sketchbook in like a month or two, but going in order. So I'd have to use different mediums. :D

I've sat and watch this video about twenty times and I never knew you drawn/colored the birds. They normally intimidated me from the beginning and tried avoiding them. But I just got done trying it out myself, and OMG I don't know what I was so afraid of!! They're so easy!!
Love the process, visuals, examples, and positive encouragement. I imagine the sewing will be easier to follow with my pages and cover in front of me. I am looking forward to mastering this process and sharing with others this summer during "art in the park". I love birds too.

my dad made books with scouts and we did something similar to this tutorial. (he helped me out a lot) it turned out great. I used card stock cause I use a lot of materials like marker, pen, pencils etc... highly recommend doing this. for the cover you can take a old binder and take the plastic stuff off the cover of the binder.

So I just ordered a handmade sketchbook from Etsy. But I forgot I had made one myself! This video reminded me lol. I actually watch sea lemons tutorial as well lol. My main sketchbook is too big to travel with. So the handmade on is perfect for traveling!! Thank you for this video. 💕💕

i want to do this for watercolor papers! i just used a puncher and circular rings for my current watercolor sketchbooks but it took a lot of space so i'd like to try this method!

Yey, me and my friends had this work. I mean doing handmade books (sketchbooks, photo albums, japanesse - style (I'm not sure, how is it correct in english) and diaries). It was actually fine. I was sad when we must went back to the school. Your sketch book looks really nice. I like this... nature style which you have. :) And... I'm amateur ornithologist... I love the first page >:3

Thank you! Yeah, I've already discovered that using blue ballpoint pen on the toned paper is just very aesthetically pleasing :)
