Hi Jay awesome work , I was a rooftiler in Australia for 30yrs ,I set roof out the same. We also left every 2 tile left pushed up so you could set ridge tiles.3 tiles in from verge , and 3 tiles down from top ridge. So when finished we just pulled tiles down as we come don the roof . Only on 29degrees and on roofs . Love your work Jay cheers 🍻
Hello, well done, its a clean roof. Could be really more complicated when you are in a renovation situation with not so squared base but yes, you explain very well here the method for tiles roofing.
Thats a big unprotected edge on your gutter. A long way to fall! You must be daredevils in Belgium. Thanks for your advice on the setting out. Nevel knew there was so much wiggle on the side laps!
I just add 19,84 +19.84 +19.84 It’s best to do it with a calculator and you shouldn’t be moving your ruler or tape measure and write off what you calculate So you mark 19.84 , 39.68 , 59.52 , 79.36 , … , … ,as a accurate as possible and without moving the tape measure
@@JayKTS so if my calculation is 23 for example, i should bring out the tape measure and mark on a batten 23 then 46, then 69 and so on:? But i still dont get it how to mark the small numbers like 23.02 for example, this is my number in my case. So 23.02+ 23.02.... = 23.02 - 46.04- 69.06 , how to mark .02/.04/.06 etc
@favorite3024 yes well the small numbers you mark it approximately like 23,02 you can mark 23 that’s not a problem .. it’s just because the way you mark it off it will be good . You can do this even on a 1/1000e what means 3 figures like .002 it doesn’t matter how many figures just just sum this number in your calculator and write it off approximately
Bro, how come no plywood in Belgium 🇧🇪? Only batons and underlayments… You could fall thru roof with no plywood! Easy peasy lemon squeezy! Work looks great though!

You and your team are doing a great job 👏👏
Thanks a lot Brian mate 🙏🏼
Lay 3 tiles out tight and mark lay 3 tiles out wide and mark, mark in the centre of both marks and use that to mark the roof out
Great video. You explain everything so well.👍
Richard thanks a lot buddy 🙏🏼
It’s not the falling you need to worry about. It’s the landing. That’s what normally kills you!
Nice work jay
Bric bybrick thanks a lot mate 😁🙏🏼

Thanks maat
Hard on the legs them steep roofs 👍
Nice
Thanks 🙏🏼
How do you measure .84 (from 19.84) on the batten, like just 19 cm and 8 mm or :? Because if its just 19.8 in the end you need like 1.6 cm more
I just add 19,84 +19.84 +19.84
