It's interesting how their earlier PSA's seem to not know what voice worked best for the character by the time they started doing these specials and settled for the voice heard here.
@Death2Bigots That's right. Stanley Jones took over for Will Ryan (Gubby's voice, hehe) in the main cast as Wordsy in the animated specials from 1986 onward.
Which was the episode where Captain O.G. Readmore was trying to get a little cat to read and instead the kid took the books and used them as something to lean on while he watched TV?
I remember Captain O.G. Readmore when I was a kid and he should come back one day. 😀👍🐱
Hey, whaddaya know... Neil Ross voiced the Captain on the live action puppet segments as well. At least, by the late 1980s anyhow. Excellent find.

This is the only one of the animated OG Readmore episodes I consider worth it. Was actually well written and balanced.
Hail to O.G. Readmore, the "Original Gangsta". ;)
And I always believed Puss in Boots originated from Shrek, I didn’t know his story went way back

The voice for Francois sounds too mature he looks like a child, they should've designed him to look more like a teenager.

This is cute!

SHUT UP!!!! I don't believe it! I haven't heard of this theme song in almost two decades. Far out.
