    Love your idea for krushing blows based on counter hit and leading to combo routes. Stance switching idk about. Characters just need normals similar to street fighter and just have more special moves. Moves that change properties based on how they hit

      With the stance switch idea is to give characters the ability to switch variations on the fly. They did it before in the 3D era

      yeah we wanted to find a way to to fit as many tools into character's as possible to provide the game with more depth. And the L2 button has no use so why not attach it to that, now you can access a whole NEW arsenal of moves or not. The choice is up to the player to switch freely inbetween them.

      @@ZenseiSmoke right but more normals isn’t depth. Street fighter got far more depth than mortal kombat and it has fundamentally less normal moves because you get access to different routes based on how moves hit. Giving people two or three stances with 6 or 7 strings each in them will not only confuse people but make characters harder to learn.

      @@ZenseiSmoke ok but why switch a stance to have access to special moves. It’s like a variation system that’s on the fly. Like I said you don’t need more attacks to have depth other games do more with light medium heavy special being their only buttons.
