Where I live in northern Sweden, we talk about a fifth season, spring-winter, and it's one of my favorites. It's when there are spring temperatures but still snow on the ground. Wonderful and extremely bright when the sun reflects on the snow.
Even though the tax is high I still have more in my wallet after all bills are paid than I would have in most countries in the world for the same work. Top on that I still have access to affordable childcare and free education, very cheep healthcare. Maintained road system and good transport system and so on.
From my understanding there are many people who move to other countries from sweden but end up moving back because they realise sweden is better. I love my country and the only bad thing for me is the darkness in the winter. The cold isnt so bad and can rather be pretty nice with different seasons. But I need the sun to feel good. That is the only bad thing about living here. If I had the money and a job that would allow it I would live a couple of months each year in spain or some other warm country in the winter and live the rest of the time in Sweden :)
When I describe Sweden and the seasons. I would say we have 4 defenitive seasons. The spring and autumn is very defined if you compare other countries (exept our neighbor counties so to say thats alike) My favorite season is autumn... The best thing about Sweden in general is the care for the people in all parts of their life. Free education, free Healthcare and everything is very organized for the people. Both young and old. If you have a work or not. If youre sick. And you may belive in what you want and love who you want... The worst thing is as I said before the "walls between us". And if you move to a new place its hard to get new friends. ( A bit easier in the country tho)...
I'd say the best thing about Sweden is that we generally have both a high minimum level and also a high maximum level of standard applied to all things in society.
