Thank god you made this video! I was hoping you could help me out with an issue with the same tank, as I have just set one up here in the UK! The centre feed is making a lot of noise, I can’t tell if I have too much water in it or not?! Could you tell me if you had the same issue? It’s super gurgly and noisy, yours is dead quiet. It’s the left pipe inside it that’s making the noise. Hope you can help mate, thanks!
I bought the same system. about to set it up. Will be second reef tank i have done learned a lot from the first. thanks for the Video not much around on this system. I am going bare bottom option though much easier to maintain just load it up with more corals. looking forward to more updates.
Tank looks good I’m just setting up a mini reef 150 and looking at the jebao return pump and there wave makers how’s the tank going and how’s the jebao pump going
I'm very impressed with them for the price. I have to say they look a little blue for my liking. Hard to dial much white in. But all the coral seems to be happy. I'll do an update soon!
Nice setup so far, I'm in Brissy and looking at getting one, just wondering is there any lids that can be purchased to fit the tank? Like the mesh ones on the cade tank setups?
No it doesn't come with a lid and sadly I've had this happen. I've since had to make a lid for it which I'll cover in my next update. Personally I like the look of the open top but it's not necessarily practical.
Hey Lloyd thanks for great video! I have basically copied your set up except I ordered the concrete version from Syd (can't find in Melb), also can't find the protein skimmer even on eBay. But got lights and all. I was just wondering if your 4x bags of crushed coral was the 4.5kg bags or 9kg bags. Sorry if it's a silly question just hard to gauge without the tank Infront of me. Lastly, if you have any tips re: protein skimmer I would be really grateful. Thanks again!
Hey I'm sorry for the delayed repl. I don't check my RUclips videos much but that's awesome that you have followed the setup because I put a lot of research into it and I'm very happy with it! So I'm really grateful you found it so worthwhile! It was the 9kg bags for the substrate. It's probably half way between a deep sandbed and a barebottom. Neither of which I wanted, this level of substrate is mostly for aesthetics but it would certainly provide some bio filtration. I just had a quick look on eBay for skimmers and this is the same one I bought tinyurl.com/2p8w9k3e but it's twice the price now unfortunately! Skimmers are pretty basic things so anything rated for 300l or more would be fine. Something like this should be fine tinyurl.com/bde63utp
Thanks for the video. I subbed specifically to follow this build. I'd really appreciate if though if you could tell me the width of each section in the cabinet?
Thanks for the sub! Sure, the right section with my sump is 79cm wide and has 44cm usable depth because of the upright support and the left section where I have my controllers is 35cm wide and has closer to 50cm of usable depth but on both sides the hinges will reduce the depth a bit at the edges to probably just under 44cm. I hope that makes sense!
@@LloydClearihan I saw another RUclips didn't have a divider between the two sections. Is it possible to have the cabinet as one open area? My chiller is 39cm wide and I need it to fit :/ Thanks so much mate
Looking good. 👍looking forward to the next update!
It should be soon!
Glad you’re doing the updates! I’m considering buying one of these tanks myself as an upgrade to hot swap my reef into.
You should! I'm still very happy with it. I think it's time for another update soon.
@@LloydClearihanupdate would be great
Nice tank, sharp looking
Thanks! I'll do an update soon

gday Lloyd. keen to see how the 1500 has got you esp. the lights. and your thoughts. OR an update champ ;)
Nice vid Lloydy! Grew some hair since the unboxing haha. Michael
Ha thanks Michael, yes it's my lockdown locks
Any chance of an update? Hope the tank is doing well!
Cool video dude!!
Thanks!

Hey sorry for the slow response but everything is going great. I haven't had any issues with any of the jebao equipment. I'll do an update video soon.
Hi mate. How are you finding the lights? I’m going to get a couple for my 326 when I get it

Not that I am aware of, I know Aqua One don't make one but there may be a 3rd party that does.
Awesome video!
Thank you!
Hi Lloyd how’s the tank going? I’m looking at getting these lights are they any good with growing coral?
Nice setup. They don't come with hood glass lid? What happen if the fish jump out?
No it doesn't come with a lid and sadly I've had this happen. I've since had to make a lid for it which I'll cover in my next update. Personally I like the look of the open top but it's not necessarily practical.
How’s the ato work on these tanks? Do you need to run a small pump on a level sensor like a tunze?
Hey man, any chance of an update?

Hi Lloyd you did good job , can I ask where do you buy your heater?
Hey sorry for the slow response, I just got the heater on e-Bay!
👍👍
Common mate we need an update it’s been 2 years
Got any noise from overflow?
There is but certainly nothing obnoxiously loud. I honestly like the sound, it's like a water feature in the house.
That music at 8:45 ... lol
What tank is that please sir?
Honestly I think I've hit about $5k on my freshwater so I think you're doing well lol.
Haha ok well that's good to know!
where did you buy this can you send me a link that will help
Hi I bought this from the Williamstown Aquarium in Melbourne
So this doesn't include the initial cost of the tank then?
Nope, tank purchase was covered in the previous video.
I need an update 😫
It's coming!
Hey Lloyd where are you?
