With the release of Gaiden and the official song itself it seems the lyrics used in this video are inaccurate to the actual work. Keep in mind that at the time of making this video, the official subtitles hadn't been released yet. The ones displayed in the video were created using pure guess work and speculation. In my opinion, the misheard lyrics Those Who Make My Heart and Those Who Know Goodbyes are more heartrending for me rather than Hold you in my arms and Told you no goodbyes.
So, I will keep going with misheard lyrics. More sadder than official lyrics
I do favour the misheard a bit more too. If only because the words evoke a stronger feeling from me.
My brain cannot switch to hold you in my arms for some reason, I guess it just hits differently for me

I honestly think there's only one way out of this series for Kiryu, and I don't think I'm ready to handle that. We'll see, I guess.

Kuze is completely right. Life of a Yakuza is just like dipping your feet into the deepest hell where there is almost no light can penetrate and Kiryu's life is a constant purgatory, burnt until being black in Infinite Wealth.

Everyone: Man Kiryu is at his most miserable in Gaiden
LAD 8's Story Trailer: So I got a bombshell to drop about Kiryu--
Damn, I can't lie Kiryu looks the most miserable in this game out of any of the others. I'm really interested to see how he handles everything after having to part with everything in his old life. That line "I'm only breathing in your memory" is a really poignant indicator that he feels like he's a dead man walking, slowly fading away in the memories of those who knew him. It's almost like a callback to his whole character arc in Yakuza 5. Everyone knew the legend of The Dragon of Dojima, but no one really knew who he truly was, what he truly fights for.
Edit: I realized the line is also a double entendre. In the literal sense, Haruka believes Kiryu died in the conclusion of Yakuza 6, with no real chance for a proper goodbye. Her memories of him are slowly fading away, but Kiryu is content with that as long as she's safe with that "serenity in your mind", in spite of their days together being far behind.
The more and more I think about this song, the more I believe that this is written in Kiryu's point of view, to Haruka and those he cared about with its wistful tone, sprinkled with bits of resignation in regards to his old life.
There was a quote in one of the promo art pics that really stuck with me,
"This fight is just my way of killing time, as is the rest of my life"
I'm not ready for what this game has in store for us 😭😭😭😭😭😭
and to add the icing on the cake, just few years after this, his hair going white and he got cancer

Man, the depression Kiryu had to go through in 5, leaving away his family, then in 6, leaving away his family AND his identity, this song just encapsulates all those sad feelings and it genuinely makes my connection towards the character of Kazuma Kiryu stronger. Man I love this series to death.
Shit hits different when you’re caught up with the series. The trailer shocked me when Kiryu was crying heavily. Yakuza 5 was his lowest point as he said himself, but Gaiden shows that he’s somewhere deeper.
at least now he knows for sure haruka is happy whereas in 5 he didn't know how things would turn out

Well then.... this song takes on a whole different meaning after the Infinite Wealth story trailer came out. Man, Kiryu just will never catch a break. He'll be on his death bed and the Tojo will still beg for him to come save it somehow.

I like that the lyrics sound like Kiryu's entire journey up to this point, him "fading away" by erasing his name, "those days are far behind but i pray that you're happy now, serenity in your mind" probably referring to the orphanage, and him hoping the kids are safe and sound with him gone. This game is gonna be so damn good i cant wait

This has a whole new meaning now that Infinite wealth's story trailer is out.
This song (For this 2nd verse, I guess so) definitely tell you about what is going on in Kiryu mind when he choose to erase his name and how he feels when he was parted away with those he loved so much. So when the song go into the verse: "But I pray your happy now. Serenity in your mind", you really feel his pain because this could be him saying his last word with Haruka and the children at the orphanage.
I really hope we can get the full song so we can understand more about Kiryu feeling in this game and hoping he can finally find his peace in Infinte Wealth.

I really, really hope that Kiryu gets to earn his happy ending by the end of Infinite Wealth. Hopefully he'll get to spend his last few months or years on Earth in peace with those he love.

@@justarandombluebird8222starfield is a very fun game but there are some very odd design choices in terms of exploration and quest design, its kind of an 8/10 but that's okay, it's more fun than so much other 10/10 games. I think it'll get a few awards at Geoff's show and will get a GOTY nomination but probably won't win. As for Gaiden, since the Summer Gamefest (made by the same people behind TGA) featured Gaiden, than we'll probably see Gaiden at the game awards this year, but it'll probably not even get nominated given how TGA is just a popularity contest at this point.

When I first saw this trailer, it was actually heart-breaking to see Kiryu cry like that. It was so unexpected and honestly out of character for the guy. I look up to him as a role model (No, really) and to see him that low was saddening

Update: now that the full version is out and more clear to understand i think at 0:56 the lyrics say "those who're in my heart" referring to the children in okinawa. Which in hindsight makes way more sense than what i previously understood.
Man this song is so damn good and its meaning is brutal i know Kiryu cares for all the kids but this truly feels like its directed and Kiryu's love for Haruka i means that's his daughter so no surprise

in paris i played Gaiden i could had play 8 but i was too lazy to wait in the queue before it's release it was a really cool event
i could not record because it wasnt alowed go to see more if you want to know how the games looks like it's a demo so it's small and 15 minutes of gameplay each
ok so first the story starts with kiryu and a girl in a helicopter then he was for some reasons idk named Joryu (maybe he wants to hide his name because of the title)
you try the tutorial after opening a giant gate that shows a new city
tutorial: (xbox only buttons)
X: combo start (hold button= throw bombs that explode after like 5/6 seconds pretty good btw for killing a groud of enemies)
Y: strong attack (Hold= kiryu hits the enemy with his two fingers in the stomach cosing the enemy to being stun/ or you can also summon some flying turrets i forgot how)
B: grab enemy (hold button = use a laso thing pretty cool you can grab from a long range)
A: dodge (hold button = is like ice skating prob a evasive move)
Then you go to a coloseum and you gotta first beat some guys
Silver mode: 30 enemies + 3 bosses
Platinum mode: 100 enemies hard + idk how much bosses but hard tho
also the dlc has Majima / Saejima / and a guy i forgot the name
i played as majima for the silver and platinum challenges
Majima is OP for bosses or small number of enemies but probably not mean to be used for alot of bots

I think the demo is a little bit further into the game because Kiryu doesn’t start out as an agent he gets training for it we can see in one of the trailers
