I really appreciate the way you explain the water structure and what’s going on. That’s really helpful for beginners.

I appreciate the red arrows showing where the bait landed. It is very helpful, actually.

Another great video Justin. Be careful in this heat. I almost got into a bad situation walking out to the point at Fort Morgan Monday. I stayed way too long that morning.

I’ve been catching lots of whiting and small pompano all up and down the beach between Navarre and Portifino from 10yds and in from shore. Lots of fun I’m using runt rods

Thanks for the report! Happy to hear the whiting bite is good. Tight lines Wesley 🤙

I think your hook-up ratio would be better by adding a small piece of Fish-bites or maybe Fish-gum. Those whiting and pompano have a much harder time stealing bait when shrimp or sand fleas are combined with the man made stuff! What do others think?

Natural baits have just been working for me better lately. I typically use Fishbites with natural baits but the fish are not digging the colors is my guess.

Hey from Destin. Great video! I REALLY like how you point out the beach structure and where you cast in your video. It has helped me alot learning to read the beach. I guess the biting flies are gone? Thanks again!!!

Thanks! Glad it is helping you out with reading the beach. Biting flies typically are only at the beach when there are North winds.

Sorry to hear your trip was slow in PCB. I was fishing in Navarre area. Fishing is tough over here too though. I have gone out a few times since this video and its just been a couple Ladyfish or dinker Whiting. Come on over though and I hope you get off that bus! I am also really looking forward to the Fall fishing. Thanks Joseph and Tight lines!

Lol. Interesting, I noticed you’ve been featuring the lures recently. Great stuff!
But regarding set rigs, no Fishbites this time? Is cut bait a little more enticing this time of year?
Is there a particular tide movement or time of day that’s optimum for these hot days along the Gulf Coast?
Btw, you’re an animal, dude! That’s gotta be a helluva lot of work cranking out these vids as often as you do!

    • @JustinReedFishing

I absolutely love chasing fish with lures and summer is a great time for that. Lately Fishbites just have not been working for me. This time of year the fish are picky and natural baits have just been working better for me. I still throw Fishbites out to see if thats what they prefer on that given day because bait preference seems to change all the time. For tides I have always heard the 2 hours before and after high tide are best but I just go fishing when I can. It is Definitely a lot of work editing videos but I enjoy it. Appreciate all the support!!

I appreciate folks like you who do it for the love of it. Surf fishing isn’t exactly the hottest sport in the public eye. It’s pretty niche. Lol.
Huge respect to you and all your fellow surf fishing bros who produce such great footage! 🙏🏻
