You've got some great views there. I went back to this one twice in 2016, didn't sound once! As per your observations and my latest tour, it's gone for good :(

mrmattandmrchay it was a great shock to find it gone. I had gone round to the bottom corner of the peel centre as I thought I may be able to see it from there, but to my surprise I couldn’t. I thought it must be the trees so I went round to the station car park and found that is was no longer there :(

I grew up next to a mental hospital (Oakwood Hospital) and there wasn't any kind of warning to let the public know someone had gone walkabout. First thing we knew was when we saw the 'bluecoats' (security) walking the streets round the hospital.
**EDIT** That would make a great tone for the alarm clock on your phone. Just try sleeping through that when it's only a foot away from your head. :-)
