Excellent work, matey! As I said, I'm going through your back catalogue and you showing the full process of cleaning is incredibly motivating. I thought I cleaned but not as good as you so I'll be improving my game! Your early videos are very well done, esp when it's just one of you doing everything, camera, editing etc. I know I couldn't do it so a huge thank you for all your hard work and effort to share! Chin Chin!
I use some chlorine powder first, rinse rinse rinse, then put about a third cup sulphite solution (25 grams sulphites per 2 litre solution), splash it around everywhere, then let it dry. The brushes are h*ll on 6 gallon (23 litre) carboys, but I have long ones which I bend to be able to wash near the top, where dry yeast is likely to accumulate.
I like the videos. Just wondering which yeasts you've tried and which ones you prefer for Mead? Also you should make a cyser which is an apple cider Mead.
Hi there, so far I've tried the Lavlin QA23, Lavlin K1-V1116, Lavlin EC1118 and the Lavlin 71B-1122. I've used the K1-V1116 the most so far because it's proven to be good for a wider temperature range and a consistent possible ABV. This is the article I used to help differentiate with yeast to use for what meads: meadist.com/making-mead/mead-tips-tricks/best-yeast-for-mead-making/ I also have the D47 yeast, I just haven't used it yet. I try to base what yeast to use based off what the article says about the yeast description and best pairings as far as melomels and others. I will definitely look into it! I am amassing a list of ideas and I will throw that into there. Thanks for watching!

For those of us on a septic sys. Is the sanitizer safe to use on a septic tank?

Try inverting the carboy while using the sprayer for an easier rinse.
