Rip Gerry as a Celtic fan YNWA 💚❤️ the 97 fans would be proud, and Liverpool fans around the world, and Celtic fans around the world in solidarity would 🙏🍀💚❤️
RIP Gerry. ❤ I’m an Everton fan, but I love this song. To me it’s not just LFCs anthem but the city’s anthem. Liverpool has faced many storms in its history, and we have walked through every one of them with our heads held high and hope in our hearts. May we always do so and may we never walk alone. Love my city and proud to be a scouser!
I live in Madrid and on the 1st of June It was simply amazing, can't explain with words how incredible and passionate LFC supporters behaved that day. Never seen anything like this before, in any of Real Madrid celebrations. You're such a special club and for me, the best supporters un the world. Your anthem is not just a football anthem, its a life anthem. This beautiful melody will never get old :)
A true legend that touch many hearts. I had the great plessure to met this amazing man, so down to earth. Rest well Gerry. You'll never walk alone. Goodbye to a true legend. You will be greatly missed.
I had the pleasure of being there that night it was fantastic seeing the Legend Gerry come on and Sing YNWA it was the icing on the cake having just won our 6th CL. Gary and Mark were in their element. 🏆RIP Gerry YWNA xx
Emotions come flooding back...........tears, joy, happiness and memories. Without a doubt, the best sporting theme/song of all time. A classy man who gave us a classic, down to earth song, that we can all relate to. RIP Gerry, you and your music will NEVER be forgotten and what a privilege it was to see you live. Much Aroha (love & respect) to you, your whanau (family & friends)...............from the people New Zealand. Big Jim (NZ)
I live in U.S. but I love this mans voice. This song is in my top 3 all time favorites ❤ & this brings me to tears having watched multiple times. RIP Gerry Marsden
What I love about this song is people all over the world know all the words to this many football teams have taken it to their heart and sing at their games I have been to a field many time when even the away fans join in and sing there is nothing like than to be in a field at witness it
Gerry Marsden. Thank You for your wisdom knowing what You'll Never Walk Alone. You heard it from the film Carousel and you knew it was made for us Liverpool family. This song means so much to us. 97 and there families always in our hearts YNWA
Just wonderful. I remember being 15yrs old and going to a Girl Guides outing to a show in Liverpool called Gerry's Christmas Crackers. This was 1965. Such a great memory and this is just amazing - thanks for the share.
I remember him with the Pacemakers back in early '60s when The Beatles topped the bill and Roy Orbison was on same show. This song will be played forever more. R.I.P.
There will never be another ~Gerry Marsden, rest in peace to the man who gave us a place on the map, thank you from the bottom of all the Liverpool people's hearts.
Because of this beautiful song I became a supporter of Liverpool, it is a club that has something that no English club has, that is SOUL and the lyrics say it all, rest in peace my dear Gerry Marsden, with you we will never walk alone, and thanks to you Without me being British, you made me love Liverpool.
And with that Gerry walks away from the spotlight and into the great beyond. I was always a fan of his. As your earthly body has rotted away back to an organic state your sprit has been transported to a new and elevated plane where you now have found peace and contentment as you rest in eternal comfort. Rest and enjoy soul Gerry as your earthly ride has ended and a good ride it was indeed.
This came off the heels of LFC winning the Champions League. Liverpool fans were quite surprised at this special treat. We won it 6 times! #YNWA #LFC #6Times #UCL
I was there that night. Liverpool had just won the league that week, the atmosphere was incredible at an field. Very emotional and proud moment for all us scousers

Gerry used to come down our street where I lived near Blackpool when on holiday to visit his cousins Donald and Christine Reeves who lived a few doors away from me , and we used play footie with him and his brother Fred down the street
A Liverpool legend gained his angel wings, you and YNWA will live on through the song and the words over the gates at anfield, thank you for the memories you gave me, from a Liverpool born lad in 1951, now an Essex man who’s upset this day. R.I.P. LEGEND. YNWA xx❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
He will be truly truly missed that song will never be the same again once we get the fans back and a full stadium that song will be sang like never before in every corner of the anfield god bless you gerry YNWA
RIP Gerry. my condolences to his family and friends. every year i used to take my son, for his birthday, to see the 1960s acts. Gerry was our favourite and one of the best nights ever was when Gerry thanked my son who has cerebral palsy and is non verbal for going to the gig, he sang YNWA and dedicated it to him. We held our Liverpool scarf aloft. i was so sad and shed a tear when i heard he'd passed. Thank you Gerry for such wonderful memories. x
When you walk through a storm Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark At the end of a storm There's a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark Walk on through the wind Walk on through the rain Though your dreams be tossed and blown Walk on, walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone Walk on, walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone
What an era to be in apart of the Mersey brat scene in the 1960’s. I bet to his last breath Gerry was so happy the Beatles turned down “How do you do it”. Walk on and Ferry cross the Mersey will be forever remembered. Don’t let the Sun Catch you crying was my favourite track of his. The Kop will forever chant this classic and no doubt it’s inspired the Redmen on to win many a game. I salute you Mr Marsden.God speed and May your soul rest in peace.🙏♥️🎼.x
"You Will Never Walk Alone" when you "Ferry Across The Mersey" to hear Gerry Marsden sing "Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying" because I will say "It's Alright" as "I'll Be There" so "Pretend" that he is still out there WOWING the crowds. This is my era of music of which I sing by myself out in the shed or in the garden. YES, I am 75 and Gerry Marsden and the Pacemakers are one of my favourites. "Just Hold'n on" .................... Barry (Cootamundra NSW of OZ)
I married my first wife who was from Gateacre, a true Scouser, spent 29 year together. My second wife only managed to visit Ron's Pub, Houston, just once before she passed away unexpectedly in her sleep in March 2014, after just 5 years. I met Bruce Grobbelaar a week later, who gave me hope to survive. A year later I met Ronnie Whelan, and despite so much cancer (Prostate cancer, Leukemia x 3, plus numerous skin cancer lesions) that I had to this date, I still survive and still shed tears with this song. Now I still support 100% the Liverpool Supporters club of Houston, the Houston Kopites. YNWA.

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
